I remember all the moves Chris did in RE5 in RE4 that Leon did.

The "shake off" and then hitting with the elbow. The knife throwing enemies...etc.
It really captures the gameplay feel of RE4, but everything like characters, setting,...etc. is new.

That punch that Chris did was just "wow" haha, a arm like that with a powerful fist punch in the face...it aint gonna be pretty.

But I did no expect gameplay footages from the trailer, but I am glad they included it.

This was most definitely on my list even before the trailer, but now, its on my list for must buy for sure.

The horde of enemies was just crazy, it even scared me a bit. It was too many if you ask me.

Capcom really is going for that very cool high quality cinematic action camera style, I don't blame then though, in RE4 when Leon vs Krauser that was AWESOME cutscene.

Whats so funny is that his hair is exactly like mine and so is his beard, haha nice Capcom, you spying bastards :P

Gonna go back and rewatch it again :P

Manthatyoufear yea it definitely looks better than gears no question about it. The art is just truly awesome. Sath it looks even better in motion I'd say.

But remember, it 2009 game. So it's ways off. I'm hopefull there will be better looking games before then. That's not to mean this doesn't look mindblowing. Horror games are my favourite, other genres don't come even close. They have the best atmosphere by far. Condemned, Resident Evils, The Darkness. This is gonna be orgasmic :D

Seeing all those enemies really scared the living crap outta me and that was broad daylight...

I suspect the new gameplay mechanic they'll introduce in this game is a quick counter button which will bring you into some fancy scripted gameplay scene like those shake off attacks. When the zombies rush you like that if you hit it at the right time you'll do something much more fancy. I think the punch is possibly one of the counters.

Yea that looked pretty great, but what's all this next-gen talk? I'm pretty sure we're far enough into this at this point that we can drop the "next."

I don't think it's even close to the best looking game I've seen (key word: looking) but it's certainly up there among the best. Good stuff.

It's multiplatform. I look at stuff like Crysis and COD4 and I sorta scratch my head when people are blown away by this stuff. It sure looks awesome but it's not like, revolutionary or anything.

Definitely looks awesome, but also.. considering this game won't be out until 2009 sorta detracts from it all a little. By the time 2009 hits I think we'll see plenty of software that's already out and about on this sort of level. Hell, we'll see that sort of progress by the end of the year.

I have an entirely different taste for things and looking at Resident Evil 5 as it was presented in that trailer and Crysis as I've always seen it. There is no way I could think Crysis looks more visually appealing. I guess this is one of those times where art direction and just a game's subject matter alone adds to its appeal. I really like the way it was presented I don't think I'd ever say Crysis is the superior looking game because I'd be going against my personal taste in doing that. And if one game excites me more than another and has art that I prefer why should the one running more cutting edge be viewed as more impressive? Just my take on it.
