Agreed, but like you said, it's still early. I'd rather be excited about what the game's combat might be like when it's finally released than say that it's not interesting and not innovative based on some early footage.

It's not like he's hyping some part of the game that's not really integral and hence won't make it into the game like what happened with the first Fable. If he really didn't think he could achieve what he's trying to accomplish with the combat, a core game element, I don't think he'd hype it this much.

Honestly alimo, I don't see how you can rip on a game for using one button(actually 3) that can be pressed/held in varying rhythms to perform different context sensitive moves and say it's disinteresting when you obviously are all about a genre of game that features one-button, menu-based combat that has been around for decades.

You are right, I don't like jrpgs. I don't like turn-based "combat," and when it's meshed with childish writing and incoherent story-telling(although these two things may stem from issues with translation), it only becomes that much more of a chore.

I dont like it because it's not japanease OMG when did I ever say something like this ? Look, I am not going to argue anymore. I told you my comments were refering to the combat which I thought was shallow. Never have I once compared it to JRPGs.
It's still early to pass on a final judgment but all im saying I dont see the promise that's all. The way he spoke about it gives the impression that he thinks it's the second coming when I just dont see it and you can disagree if you want which is fair. let's leave it at that then. and by the way I have absolutely no problem with you not liking JRPGs, tastes differ, plain and simple :)

BC.. :(

They never finished it (obviously) and it was canned. I can't imagine how cool BC would be on current generation hardware.. they should bring the project back to life.

A dino game would rule. Kind of like a Safari/Afrika game, but in prehistory. Sandbox game even :D And playu as dinos too >:)
