So uh.. what a load of crap.
More COD influenced.
I did like BC2 more than 3. That doesn't mean I didn't like 1942 and 2, better than BC2 3
The "Call of Duty" influence you are citing is as much a "Bad Company" influence as anything.
Soo.. yeah. You don't know what you're talking about. You haven't played the game nearly enough to have formed much of an opinion about it. This isn't about stats, or playing for hundreds of hours. You barely touched the main game mode in BF3. You basically went straight to rush. And giving into its namesake, you rushed to judgement. Two flags? Seriously?
You don't know what BF3 is or isn't.
I guess I'm a weird sort of fan who doesn't mind the fact that Battlefield 3 is its own game. They pushed the pace of combat a lot. I like it.
That said, I actually worry more about what they will change than what they won't at this point. When I think of how you could make Battlefield 3 better, I don't immediately go to Battlefield 2 or any other game. The way to make Battlefield 3 better is to take what works in BF3 and improve upon it, while cutting the stuff out that doesn't. Looking back isn't going to do that. It may result in depth, but what BF3 actually needs right now is a little more focus.
I think Demize is a great designer at times, but he has made some questionable choices. The downloadable content team for BF3 also did some really great stuff. I do hope the BF4 team is still in touch with BF3.
No one can obsess like I can!

Between Star Wars, Mass Effect and Dragon Age, BioWare's recent mistakes have been so great the creators Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk bowed out of the entire industry. They don't even want that mess no more.
They butchered Mass Effect.

I liked all the Mass Effect games, and anticipate the next chapter.
“There are specs and alpha hardware, but nobody knows exactly what it will be. The only thing I can say about what we’re building is that we’ve set the bar with what we can do and we can scale it down to 360 and PS3.”
Bach added that the Battlefield 4 trailer released at GDC isn’t to be taken at face value, and doesn’t reflect the final game’s standards, ” What you saw is pre-alpha – it’s not the final game or anything. We are lacking a lot of optimisation. Without going into detail about what it could look like on a lower spec machine or a higher spec machine, we will have the scalability to bring the most out of any piece of hardware”.
Instead, Bach advised fans to view the video as a target of what DICE want Battlefield 4 to look like running on your rig of choice. He added that of course, the studio needs to be realistic about what can be run on current hardware, and next-generation rigs as well.
Bach concluded, “We’ve seen visual targets that are pre-rendered or running on machines that are designed for showing off technology – this is the game. [Single-player producer] Tobias was playing the game in the Frostbite engine with the content that we’re using to build the game.”
Earlier this week Bach said that we’ve passed the point where Frostbite 3 visuals alone are impressive. Check out what he had to say here.

Probably not a poker game, probably just a reflection of the state of the silicon.
MS has traditionally been rather late providing real devkits, and they may not be doing large runs of early silicon for devkits rather keeping the distribution limited and resolving any bugs before distributing more broadly.
Typically publishers/devs pay for every revision of a devkit separately, so that could also be part of the issue.
If devkits aren't around in quantity in the June/July timeframe I'd worry about a 2013 launch, practically they would have to start QA for disks not long after that.
