Well, it'll most likely look much better in motion. Trailer is out 2PM EST, I think. And if it weren't DICE, I would mention that the game is also targeting current gen consoles, and not just next gen consoles and pc, but maybe that fact matters less for this game.

Dice comment: "You can have greatly enhanced destruction and more detailed maps at 30 FPS or you can have reduced destruction and less detailed maps at 60 FPS"

As far as details is concerned, it looks amazing.

I wonder if all seventeen minutes are going to be some stupid single player scenario. I'm sure it's going to look beautiful. The screenshots already look better than BF3. Which is ridiculous.

Day one + premium. Again.

I hope there's more info than what's already leaked ahead of this reveal. OOH GRAPHICS, AHH DESTRUCTION! Isn't going to do it for me. I want to know about the kits--commander--squads, etc. 17 minutes of zero dark thirty isn't going to do much for me regardless of how pretty it is.

Battlefield 4 is our most human, dramatic, and believable game yet... first single-player game play reveal going live in just a few more hours!
This might be one of the rare cases where I actually want to see the MP instead.

Might? Oh wait.. You don't actually give a shit about Battlefield anyway. Like you're going to play this game. You want to see the pretty campaign trailer. It's your peak at next gen.

Someone should write a book about it. Maybe it'll ease you into the franchise ;)

Actually, I played the shit out of BF2 on pc. Yes, I do want to see the MP, because Battlefield campaigns suck. I don't expect this one to be any different. I got my hopes up for BF3 and learned the hard way that nothing has changed about Battlefield campaigns.

I've already seen next gen with Watch Dogs. :) It may not look as pretty as BF4 likely will, but it's the most exciting and interesting looking next gen title that I've actually seen so far.

Oh don't get worked up, I'm not trying very hard at all. I just think it's funny to see the sudden interest in a game you'll have absolutely no interest in later this year. You're just fallin' for the hype. Admit it!

And honestly, every time we talk about multiplayer you end up talking about 1.6. That's how far back you have to go to relate. You don't really care about BF4. You didn't care about Halo online. You care about online games now?

Observations that were made hours ago: That M16 has offset iron sights. That's sorta interesting. I'm not a magnification fan anyway, but I dig it.

And what the fuck are up with all of those birds? Does Battlefield 4 have dynamic birds?

Dice apparently spent a year developing realistic bird AI. You will use the birds with cameras on them as UAVs. Also a future dlc features a game mode called "duck hunt".

Make no mistake, I have no issue saying what games I don't care to play online. Halo is one, COD is another, Gears another but I like playing Battlefield online, and am definitely interested in Battlefield 4's MP. In fact, I've been playing BF3 MP on and off for the last 3 months on my pc. Nothing too intensive, just a few games here and there. I still play Halo SP, jrpgs or games like NBA 2K more, but I don't exactly have to dedicate myself to the entire experience in order to enjoy battlefield's MP. The games I play the most online are NBA 2K, Fifa, and I've done a lot of Forza online this gen.

When I bring up 1.6, I bring it up only to point out how addicting I felt the gameplay and competitive, team based experience of that game was, and the fact that no other MP game has managed to get me to be quite as invested as Counter-Strike in general has done through 1.5 and 1.6. It's a big part of the reason why Halo's MP is so hard to get into for me. Just because I hold CS 1.6 in high regard, even as a much older game, doesn't mean I don't play mp games, including shooters, online. I just play them far less frequently than I ever did CS, and I'm not pretending that I will dedicate extreme amounts of time to BF4's MP, but I will absolutely play it on occasion. I'm interested in seeing what it's like on Next Gen machine, because I'm likely to buy the game on a next gen machine. It's one of the early next gen, must have titles, of course I'm going to want it. It's not like I expect some amazing launch filled with games I'm interested in.

I think a lot of the MP games held in such high regard this gen, have been very average to terrible MP games that were being overhyped. When it comes to MP, believe me, I don't fall for hype, hence why I play so few games online. :)

I agree, but I think the definition of what's multiplayer nowadays is so significantly stretched to games that really aren't anything of the sort. BF3 is one of the few true multiplayer games that actually feels like a high caliber MP game completely designed around multiplayer first and is damn good at it. Played some TF2 on and off as well, but never really stuck with it, but I certainly enjoyed it while I played it. I also really love Forza online. Beyond that, though, I don't do as much online gaming as I use to, but then I also feel I haven't been given all that many good reasons to.

Just saw that chart. That's one surprising ass chart, but I guess it didn't occur to me that it could be so low since I've drifted away from doing the large majority of my gaming on the pc since the 360 and PS3 released.

Damn, looks amazing visually, but then that was expected. Still really surprised at how outrageous some parts look, though. That helicopter crash scene is something else.

Gotta say, not a bad way to show off their engine and the game. That vehicle driving near the ocean with the weather effects looked stunning, and that girl near the end looked pretty convincing.

The stuff that stood out to me was the scripted character and facial animation stuff. But then again, that's the sort of thing you don't see in multiplayer. All of the characters are pretty convincing I thought.

Otherwise.. it looks like the prettier bits of BF3 and maybe a little prettier than that. That's promising.

I want to go through and look for more gear. The dual sights are cool, and the semi-automatic noob tube is potentially maddening. I'm still pretty pumped.

I want to know what the deal is with the "premium expansion." Are they not going to introduce the premium season pass early? Come on.

ok, in motion that looked pretty freaking stunning. At first i was a bit, eh, since the opening scene with the water filled hallways weren't casting real-time reflections (since the killzone 4 gameplay i kinda want entire walls reflecting everything next gen, lol) but it looks immense visually. I even like the more open combat situations, very large scale (looking at least), the suppression mechanic looks cool, reminds me of BIA. Overall, a heavily scripted, but exciting looking single player (something BF3 lacked) the characters seem cool too, and they had hella good facial animation. i can imagine MP to be more of the same, but as long as its polished on consoles this time i'm OK with that. BF3 COD4 and killzone 3 are the only 3 games to really hook me online this gen, so more of that is a good thing imo.

Hoping it's a launch title for PS4, will up my game purchases to 5
