1 was the scariest since it was the first, after that, much like the resi series, you got either desensitised to it all, or they simply stopped being scary (resi 2-4+0) silent hill 4 had some cool enemies like the twin-baby-headed-walking-on-hands-thing, but you cant beat the first simple for the fact it was the first.

2 was the best by far however, best more "believable" human like enemies, introduced pyramid head, cool story, kept you thinking long after it'd finished and just overall better characters and feel. 4 was a horrible step back to bad game design (having to go back to the room so you can store and swap items...it was bad enough in resident evil 1-3 i didnt want to be doing it in silent hill) i never liked 3 much cos you control possibly the most whiney yank girl to plague a video game.

hopefully this will be back to its 1/2 roots, no stupid enemies like zombie moths, just keep the story good, the atmosphere thick and the enemies belivable and they should have a decent game. seeing the return of pyramid head would be awesome as well.

Yes very, but for some reason 4 really really unnerves the hell out of me, tried it with headphones and had a fucking anxeity attack lol (really ... it was fucking horrid :()

Manny, was that the one where I was watching you play it and that `muffy-creature thing` was pointing at you and following your character across the corridor?. If so, this was one of the funniest moments in gaming history:

As we approached the seemingly imune mennace, it kept following us across the screen. We weren`t sure wether the game had glitched, but after about 10 minutes of wandering closer and closer up to it, we got the answer that we had been waiting for!.....no it wasn`t glitching and it most certainly wasn`t a duff creature....it was alive, mean, deadly and came racing towards Manny at breakneck speed, screaming some weird tone.

Manny shat his pants and ran to the nearest door on his right. We both breathed a sigh of relief, but suddenly as our backs were turned, we heard a heavy breathing tone.......the roon we`d just entered had got three of these things in it !...OMG ! ROFL or what !!!?!!!. Lets just say that I had to revive Dave with a bucket of cold water from the sheer terror of it all.....(after my girlfriend has obviously woken me with the same method LOL).

Classic times dude!.......classic times :0)

my copy stays on the top shelf now and again i can hear its hush tone saying "play me" but never ... i had kids to raise

But silent hill 1 was awesome :D crawling babys FTW! silent hill 2 i agree the most beliveble

I probably did because whenever I take a game to yours, we always end up nuking the hell out of it, so when I get home, I have to start it all over again and go through the 3-4 hours that me and you just put into it lol.

Yeah it was scary though and most people haven`t seen how creepy my house is LMFAO.
