The combat is real time if that's what you wanted to know ;) I wish it was turn based though .... still looks incredible, another game that is sitting on my PS3 wish list

From the first video I saw I wouldn't call it real-time.

I'd call it an evolution of turn based so the game looks as close to real-time combat as possible. Its like rewarding the player more making them appear to be doing a lot more in battle than just waiting for an attack to be chosen like in bd or lost odyssey. I couldn't call this true real-time more like very evolved turnbased.

Screens look a lot more subdued than previously, but I know in motion it will look much better.
