2007-07-12 23:58:50 Devil May Cry 4 - Revisited July 12, 2007 - Capcom's Gamer's Day build of Devil May Cry 4 could be the most overused disc in the history of videogame tradeshows. Yes friends, the same version of DMC4 that was on display at the Publisher's media event in April and itsAustralian press tour in June was also on hand at Capcom's Santa Monica-based Shutters hotel room. With that much face time, there are two obvious questions: 1.) Who else is going to see it before we get a new version to you around with, and 2.) When will Capcom give us some new levels to toy around with? The answer to number one is, "the rest of the world." In case you missed it during Microsoft's Tuesday press conference, Capcom will be releasing a DMC4 demo very similar to this one (if not the same one) on Xbox Live sometime before the final version is released. The company is considering a PSN demo as well, but nothing has been finalized. Answer number two is the expected, "Leipzig or Tokyo Game Show." Unfortunately, that's about all the information we could get, other than the fact that the next version we'll see will likely be for the Xbox 360 instead of the PS3 (so far, the game has only ever been shown on PlayStation 3 hardware). Damn it, no demo on E3! :'( They did it with Lost Planet, and that game didn't come out like months and months later, its not fair, I want this demo badly! --- |

2007-07-13 00:03:36 That's quite a disgrace, no PSn demo. Come on Capcom and Sony, what the hell?!?! |

2007-07-13 01:25:26 The Sony fanboys over at GT are up in arms about this. Some are saying that the franchise isn't even worth playing, so it's ok that the 360 is getting it (yet it's worth posting about repeatedly on a forum?), while are others are saying that they feel that Capcom is just making for the LCD and won't look as good as it could (despite the fact that 360 versions of multiplatform games have generally looked better, if only by a bit). |

2007-07-13 01:50:48 Though i will be happy with a demo no matter what system it comes out for, not having a demo on the system that made the franchise successful would be a bit of a slap in the face. --- |

2007-07-13 01:57:54 Exactly, I am angry, not because it's on XBL, but because it's on there and not on PSN. No matter which way you look at it, it's a stupid decision from Capcom. Especially considering the original demo was running on PS3 and could probably simply be released like that. |

I DO want to see what the PC version will be like, though from the track record: Shite. Though if they do get a HS demo on there soon, I'll forgive Sony, Capcom on the other hand... @Grift - Yeh that's true, Lost Planet ran decently (though the demo was mega-meh), I hope DMC4 does too, then maybe I'll get the PC version and use a gamepad. |

2007-07-13 08:30:14 Is this a Capcom thing or is it a Sony thing? I'm sure if Capcom was dying to put something on PSN they could but is the process that bad that Capcom would rather just not deal with the hassle? Though overall it sounds like Capcom isn't thrilled with Sony this time out. |

I think it's also worth noting that they never said they weren't going to do it, just that plans to do so haven't really been finalized. Maybe they still will. |
