2007-03-02 20:48:56 Fable 2 - Big Secret Revealed! http://www.lionhead.com/news/373 GDC announced the final date, time and location for Peter Molyneux's speech about Fable 2. Peter will be talking on March 8th from 12pm in Room 3001, West Hall. This years Games Developer Conference 2007 is being held in March at the GDC Expo Floors in San Francisco. From the 5th until the 9th March 2007 to be exact. Amongst the many speakers is Peter Molyneux; talking about 'Innovation in Fable 2'. Keep an eye on the Lionhead.com website for an exact date on Peter's lecture and for more info about GDC 2007. The official word is: "When attempting to create a sequel the temptation is to add more of everything but is this enough? Lionhead Studios ambition for Fable 2 is to create sequel which is truly a land mark title and to achieve this there must be evolution and revolution. This talk will centre around revolutions in Fable 2. This talk will examine how key game play elements have been refined and expanded. It will also look at what inspiration was drawn for the original game and what lessons were learnt from Fable. The processes used to arrive at these design decisions can be applied to a broad spectrum of genres and so are relevant to a large sector of the development community. Plus Peter Molyneux has promised to reveal a totally unexpected feature in Fable 2." --- |

2007-03-02 21:28:20 Well they can talk about secrets all they want, I want some damn in game footage. Can we get that too? :P I'll be patient..I'm just really looking forward to seeing this one. It seems like it's very far off at this point, seeing that we've only seen artwork so far..hopefully it is further along than we all think, and they've just been waiting for the right moment to reveal it. |

A charming (in a dark sort of way) game. A 3D adventure with a mature theme..not that a game like Kameo or Zelda are just for kids, but they're less "adult" in the way they approach their content. |

2007-03-06 23:55:46 If it really is a pet I'm very excited about it now. Molyneux said he wouldn't reveal specific details unless he was 100% sure they would be in the game so I believe this one. --- |

2007-03-07 04:50:41 I wonder if having a pet is any indication that you can focus more on ranged combat. That would be a serious plus for me. Rangers love their pets. |
