To be perfectly honest, not only did we not expect to get a release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach now, but we could have never guessed it would be so close. The sequel to the iconic game will indeed ship on June 26 on PlayStation 5 and it's probably the best news we'll get this week. As it is a Kojima production, don't think the announcement is merely accompanied by a short teaser, we're given a ten-minute video and a few screenshots. Now obviously, if you want to discover the content of the game on your own, maybe it's best to stay away from today's trailer.

Today Nacon streamed a new edition of Nacon Connect in order to show us what to expect in the upcoming month. Hell is Us is obviously one of the highlights but the event was also the occasion to officialise the return of a certain Styx. There are of course several other things to discover, so please follow us inside.

Split Fiction came out today so it allows us to share some PlayStation 5 Pro gameplay of the beginning of the adventure (minus the introductory cutscene). If you know It Takes Two, you should feel right at home with this new game by Hazelight Studios. It looks great, it's very smooth, gameplay is accessible and fun and we like the variety offered by the two different worlds we get to explore (sci-fi and fantasy). The following video was recorded with my nine-year-old daughter and we've had a great time so far, to the point we can't wait to continue. Note that if you don't have anyone to play the game with at home, you can play online with a friend who does not own the game and who plays on a different system than yours.

Suikoden I& II HD Remaster were announced back in 2022 and it took its time to be ready for the fans. The wait is finally over and we think it was worth the wait as these two iconic titles still hold up pretty well thirty years after the original release of the first game. Sure, on certain aspects, they are a bit dated but the graphics have been nicely improved while remaining very faithful to what people remember of the two original games. We have truly enjoyed our time playing them both again after all this time and we have two videos to share. Our French review can be enjoyed with automated English subtiltes (YouTube version only) and we've also taken the liberty of recording some gameplay footage without any commentary. Be warned that the texts are in French in the two videos, but on the bright side, it means that if you have never played these two iconic JRPGs, you're not going to be spoiled.

Now that our vacation time is over, we're back to business and we have some catching up to do with you in the English side. Monster Hunter Wilds was released last week on PC and consoles and with it came a bunch of technical issues on all platforms. We didn't have time to do it in English but we put up a commented video focused on the PS5 Pro version last week, but we're sharing it with you now so you can at least enjoy the footage (don't hesitate to lure the sound or watch the YouTube version with the automated subtiles tool to understand what we're saying). Note that some information in the video was based on what was announced By Capcom before launch but that it hasn't been updated since DF assumed PSSR was not used as an upscaler but as an antialiasing method instead. If confirmed, it means that the base resolution in each mode is actually the resolution you see on screen. Added to this video, we're giving you a chance to check out the base PS5 and see how it fares in the three available graphics modes, which should make it easy to notice that the results are much worse on the base consoles in terms of image quality (particularly in Performance mode). Last but not least, we have a few image galleries of the Pro version to show you. Sadly, we weren't given access to the Xbox version and the PC one we got first ended up crashing after the latest Windows update...

No release date yet, but we already know the platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
