Are you sure it's back, now? Because it's been back for the past few years, apparently. It gets said every year.

Well, to be honest it does look like a massive step in the right direction for the game. It's looking fairly decent for once, and for once I'm actually optimistic about it. We'll see when we get the demo. I am slightly worried about the responsiveness of the controls going by the video, but that can be improved over time.

It's been said by some people...never myself. I doubt it's going to be as good as the PS2 games but its looking far better than Fifa current and nxt gen. I need a good football game back in my life.

Well, we won't know much until time spent with the demo, and some time spent with the final code. It could look great on the surface, but could have some damaging flaws too. It does look promising based on the videos, though.

Typical quotes of people whom have never played the game yet. How do you know it looks better than current and next gen? Did you have a side-by-side comparison yet? Did you even watch any footage at all yet of the next gen FIFA? :')

Looks like it is faster paced than PES2013... which is a good thing.

Yeah...Fifa nxt-gen seems to suffer from the same awful AI as current gen. Graphics are nice but if the gameplay is still as bad whats the point?

Correct. I'm not falling for the same bollocks again. EA has been going on about these enhancements and new features, and concentrating on wank like online things like Ultimate Team and player cards and coins. They can fuck right off with that shit. The kids may go all giddy over that bollocks, but I want proper improvements made to the core of the game like actually proper intelligence in defenders. You know, by EA's logic, it's sound strategy to put your tallest, strongest and best header' of the ball in your back line on the edge of the fucking box when defending a corner when he should be in and around the penalty spot. Then the AI makes your best center half jog up the pitch in a counter attack leaving you fucked if you lose the ball and get countered yourself. Two thumbs up, EA. You know your football.

Both games need significant effort put into AI, PES' defensive AI is also woeful at times, often I'm being attacked and my defenders will be dragged off out of the way to allow the attacker a clean run on goal, happens constantly, not to mention the fact I can have my backline set to 0 for how far they push up yet they're always near the halfway line when the AI is trying to counter attack me. Offside rule is also very poorly handled and when the ball is near the touchline within reach players will make little to no effort to try to keep it in, which again is very frustrating.

True. But if there's one thing I know from PES, is that even with the older games, the teams always had a better shape to them. Fifa's defensive AI can be OK one game, and then go completely mental the next. Also, it's not right to see Stoke attack with the verve and speed of Bayern Munich and Bobby Zamora skin someone with a Zidane turn. I wonder what EA are smoking when I see that shit.

The good thing about Fifa is the sliders, I've always been able to get a really nice game of football out of Legendary + slow + all manual + adjusted sliders and having shared those sliders for the last two years received feedback from lots of happy gamers.
