Electronic Arts and DiCE released this video of Battlefield 3, showing the same gameplay sequence as shown during their press conference yesterday, but this time in direct-feed 1080p at 60 frames per second.
B3 has looked absolutely amazing until last night at the E3 demo. I was like wow, look at that sand and amazing tank! Then, oh please someone make it stop, it's so boring!
I'm not a fan of CoD but it has nothing to worry about.

Tank combat is still only a minor part of the game it is mainly an FPS still. My main concern is how badly gimped it will be for consoles in terms of visuals...

What? :/ You thought this was boring? I normally hate tank sections in fps, but this was fantastic. Shit looks and feels insane.
Well it is true. Wether EA make a better game, or a beautiful game doesn't matter to CoD sales if they make a game that CoD players don't want to play. They want a simple exciting trashy campaign shooter with run gun multiplayer, which the MW3 demo had. So, CoD has nothing to worry about sales wise.
Dice may well make the better game but EA are defining the success of the game by sales and cutting into CoD's market share, so it will not be successful. If it is a quality product then gamers win.
But CoD has nothing to worry about.

...I can't believe that people believe stuff like this. EA will gauge the success of this game based on how.. *gasp*.. successful it is. Outselling Call of Duty is a goal, sure, and it's one you can be certain that the bean counters at EA already know is a lofty one. They will spend a crap load of cash marketing this thing too, and they're going to recuperate those costs and then some. Battlefield 3 will absolutely be a success. There's very little chance of anyone (anyone!) considering it anything less.
Just because they talk about putting Call of Duty in their sites doesn't mean they forgot how to run their business. They don't need to even approach the record sales of Call of Duty to make Battlefield a success. That's more of a long term goal.

EA are great at losing money, this is another example, spending hundreds of millions on marketing this and Star Wars simply to get WoW and CoD players instead of focusing on their own game. Probably will make huge losses.
IF THIS WAS GAMEPLAY OMFG... look at the sand and the motions of the vehicles, games like world of tanks are doing well can you imagine 64 player tank battles in BF3! DEAR GOD OMFG

Please say that we get full weapon customization, and i'll just die and cum, throw in submarines, planes, helicopters, aircraft carriers and make it all multiplayer and i'll die of dehydration
