Those debut pics does, as usual, not say much... but since the latest FIFA game have been great games I presume this one will be too...

is the 4th a picture from the incredible hulk?! ;)

It looks nice, but you don't play a football game with the camera 2" from your player!

Fifas known for its great presentation, so Im not surprised its looking good. Will it beat PES? In graphics... probably yes. In terms of gameplay? Probably not. And thats what matters right?

FIFA 08 already beats PES 2008, so FIFA 09 will be even better. I was PES fan for years, but I don't believe Konami will make PES 2009 a better game than FIFA 09.

Ronaldinho playing in FC Barcelona? DDDD
Well, looks a lot better than PES09 but the gameplay... this is what matters. To me, Fifa08 don´t beat PES08 in terms of gameplay. Will see Fifa09...
Graphics in Fifa08 are nice but players look like living dead persons (the faces, specially the eyes) and here in Fifa09, the players look better I think (pics 1 and 3 look great to me)

Wow, rooney finally looks something like the real thing...still a little off but considerably closer, might be the time now to go for a footy game...just couldnt stand the likenesses in the past couple of games...

Everyone knows PES 2008 wasnt good, and for once Fifa had the better game that year! Where all the previous versions of PES have owned the Fifa games! I just hope they get it right for PES 2009!

I know, i also hate when games post screenshots from angles you never play from. The worst example is 3rd person screenshots in RTS or top-down hack'n'slash games :)
Just makes the game look like shit :)

Btw, can a mod please msg me about why the heck i got banned before?

PES2008 beat Fifa 2008, but EURO2008 definately had PES2008 beat, so I expect this will be better than PES2009.

p.s. Ronaldhinho looks perfect, i'm glad they have finally gotten rid of the Troll look on the players faces.

Fifa beats Pes in just about every department, except the most important - gameplay.

Pes 2008 may have sucked by Pes standards, but I still play it and traded in Fifa 08. Why? Because it wasn't fun to play as at all. The graphics are good, the manager mode is great, be a pro was innovative, the presentation was great. Even so, Pes still trumps Fifa in the gameplay department.

I expect Fifa again to be better than Pes in most departments. Even so, I know which one I am buying and it isn't Fifa. When it comes to gameplay Fifa still has a long way to go, but it is getting there gradually. Until the day comes when Fifa plays better than Pes, I will continue to buy Pes.

With Fifa 08, I agree but You must not have played Euro 2008 if you still think Pro Evo beats it in gameplay. Euro 2008 makes Pes2008 look like an arcade football game.

I have .. no sorry, had Euro 2008. Not the demo, the full game.

A significant improvement over Fifa 08, but still not as fun to play as Pes. The tricks for the most part are sloppy and only occassionallyeffective, the tackling is an absolute joke, the shooting can be embarassing at times and set pieces are so badly done it's unbelievable.

hope it's something good, and makes it a clear choice to what system I should get it for, because with the trophy system I can't decide which one to get.

To each his own. I too think Fifa08 already brought more to the table in terms both of gameplay and graphics than PES2008 (piece of crap apparently, and I've been a ISS/WE/PES fan since the SNES days). PES needs to be revitalized.
