Apples and oranges, the situations are completely different. I also happen to think that while racism and homophobia are obviously bad, super extreme reactions like the one you're having where you want to bash someone's head in because of a bad joke is also bad. You can't solve intolerance with intolerance.

I expect a better class of human being here on this forum and I have no issue calling someone out on it, because we're all adults here.
It's not a fucking joke to wield a race, orientation, or gender around as an insult. It's also a real weak cowardly excuse to say "LOL I'm just kidding!" to try and escape being labeled a bigoted human being. It's not a free pass.

Also droez is correct, his remarks towards me are worse. Somehow making an even more heinous remark towards me without knowing me elevates his "joke" even more in his mind.
He clearly lacks common sense.

Maybe MrWhite can regale us with some black jokes next?
They'll just be jokes though guys, so it's okay.

As potentially the only gay guy on this forum, i don't actually find anything MrWhite said offensive.

it was an observation and it didn't even have any expressed disapproval. there is nothing inherently anti LGBT about "Post apocalyptic gay pride parade the videogame". i could post that on tumblr among a sea of gay guys and i'd just get a bunch of "yas queen" gifs. it's not like he said "i fucking hate the gay pride aesthetic" or "this looks gay as fuck, i hate it".

pride parades ARE colourful, we fly a rainbow flag for fucks sake. it's not that big of a stretch to associate the two.

that's really not what i was saying at all. but if you claim you know better then them when you, yourself aren't even part of that minority group. essentially demanding outrage where there shouldn't be any despite them telling you otherwise. that seems a little...well...odd to me. the situation with Sensei and Bruno Mars and "cultural appropriation" come to mind.

but either way, in this instance you're both fighting a non-issue. there are bigger things to rally behind than some guy on the net seeing thematic ties between 2 colourful forms of expression. but you keep doing you. keep fighting the non fight! you're making big changes in the world. lol

but you're both clearly trying to convince...someone? that your outrage is justified, when it isn't. it was you who first called mrwhite an asshole saying he should be banned, droez comes in threatening violence and comparing him to trump and alex jones? lol, like...what? what even provoked that? mrwhite saying the colour filled trailer had visual ties to a colourful celebration? as i said earlier. there wasn't even any expressed disapproval of that connection. he never even said the gay pride stylings were a bad thing. it was a purely visual observation. literally no negative connotations at all.

even mrwhites follow up joke had no anti LGBT connotations. he was implying your aggressive attitude towards him (remember you called him an asshole for no reason) sparked by your defense of this game implied you were bank rolled by bethesda. this is a pretty common "corporate shill" joke. i'm assuming you've heard them before?

so what exactly is it you're offended by? you mentioned this toxic game culture. but based on what the fuck just happened in this thread, you and droez are the only ones displaying any signs of that. i mean, you guys literally threw personal insults, threatened violence and compared the guy to some of the most bigoted idiots in the mainstream media for literally NOTHING.

I didn't claim I knew better. I find insulting someone with the insunation that he's gay and insinuating he got paid (I guess he alluded to prostitution?), just vile and stupid. Do you like it when 'gay' is being used as an insult? Anyhow, I like how the game looks very much. Now I hope they can make it as fun as it looks in the trailer.
problem is, that insinuation, is entirely in your head. mrwhite might be a homophobic arsehole for all i know. but in this instance nothing he wrote is evidence to suggest that.

When he shits on a game using 'Pride Parades' as evidence and then the ohther kid says it looks like an LGBT ad that's all the connotation I need. They both use gay stereotype to say this game looks terrible. I don't know how you don't read it that way but it's fine.
He follows it up with similar "humor" towards me that only cements my opinion.
He's being an asshole.
