Forza 7 in HDR on Gamersyde!

Small bug with the image generation system for the videos, so it looks weird. It simply won't work with these videos as it requires a new version of the libraries we use. This will be fixed when we move to a new server this week. For the moment you can still download the videos normally.

I find this initiative to be great. And as always, Gamersyde is at the forefront of technology when it comes to videos.

I don't have a 4K HDR TV yet, but you guys need to weight the pros and cons very carefully. In one hand, 4K HDR TVs are the standard now, you almost can't find any new 1080p TV unless it's one of the very cheap models. On the other hand, most people don't have 4K HDR TVs or devices capable of showing HDR videos.

Personally, I would much rather prefer you guys focused on doing more content that everyone can enjoy, try to get more videos and trailers on the site, which trying to encode HDR videos definitely consumes both time and resources. But that is selfish and isn't fair to those with 4K HDR TVs that would like more reasons to appreciate their purchase.

PS. Out of curiosity, does it take more time to encode H.265/HEVC videos or H.264 HDR videos?

We encode 4K videos at about 8 fps. 4K HEVC HDR at 0.8 fps. So yeah, about 10 times slower.

I watched this on my Surface. It's because of HDR and that my surface doesn't support that it looks incredibly dull, right? The colors that is.

I'm watching the Middle-Earth - Shadow of War's 2 gameplay videos in 4K and I gotta say, the quality is so unbelievably gorgeous that it truly feels like "next-gen". Even those last screenshots of Middle-Earth - Shadow of War in 4K also look truly gorgeous.

People keep saying that the jump from 1080p to 4K is not the same as the jump from SD to HD, but to be honest, it feels the same in a way. I believe it has to do with doing 4K properly, not just upping resolution and calling a day.

Middle-Earth - Shadow of War is one of the best showcases for 4K imho. And to be honest, looks as gorgeous - if not more - that Metro: Exodus and Anthem demos. Goddamn, the game looks incredibly gorgeous.

Please thank Miguel and Game2k for recording and posting the videso, respectively. Also thanks for buying the Inferno Shogun camera.

PS. The same "Commented Gameplay Demo" video at 1080p looks like shit now. One of those things that once you notice, you can never ignore again.

Wow!! I can't believe my own eyes!! That second video in 4K HDR on a LG C7 OLED is the MOST BEAUTIFUL thing i've seen so far when it comes to games, it looks so realistic! Xbox One is lacking when it comes to exclusives but Forza 7 is a killer app if you ask me. Incredible!

No one is providing these HQ 4K HDR gaming videos for free except the good old Gamersyde...

Confirmed working on Samsung UN65JU7500 Curved 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart LED TV. Played perfectly from the TV's USB port and it looks great.

I was curious to see and initially played the files directly on my PC. Huge difference and much better results playing it from a thumb drive via the TV's USB port.

Thank you Gamersyde, you guys truly are god tier! Just tested them on my Sony 65" Z9D and they looked stunning. I could easily see the brighter highlights and finer gradient in the shadows. Everything simply has more pop than the SDR version. The game itself isn't much of a looker in terms of graphics but the HDR enhancement truly brings a far more enjoyable experience indeed. Please upload more HDR feeds if you can, I would die for God Of War, Detroit, GTS, Anthem, Metro, Days Gone, Spiderman, AC Origins and BattleFront II next all in HDR :).

Played through my Samsung K8500 player to my Vizio P65 C-1. Looked fantastic! System info on Vizio shows full 4k res with HDR10.

Plays ok on my pc as it's just a 10bit hevc video in an mp4. Although both the screens connected are only 8 bit so obviously I'm seeing it lower colour and kinda washed out. And it's pushing my cpu a bit as my r9 290he has no hevc acceleration. Those encoding times sound awful. Sounds like it's encoding in software and just using the cpu. Don't you have a graphics card with hevc acceleration built in? Should encode it much quicker.
