Looks exactly like RE4 in terms of gameplay which is old news for me, VERY old.
But RE5 will look 10x better than RE4 with the whole next-gen graphics.

And if you can't wait to see how a african desertish city looks like in next-gen play Splinter Cell Double Agent level were Sam Fisher is in the sun killing some mercs.

It looks great non the less, but that is expected anyways :P

Heretic, I figure most things out, while you dont :P j/k :)

But gameplay wise meaning shooting and camera style is like RE4, but we all knew that, at least I knew it before these screens.

One thing that RE4 was lacking was that you couldn't move and shoot which made some situations difficault.

But I hope they add it on RE5. Even walking and shooting will be good, doesn't have to run.

While I agree, do you not think it is a sort of false intensity ? I mean it works but maybe there is a different more realistic way to ramp up the tension. If you were in that situation it would obviously be really fuckin intense but you would still have full maneuverability. I guess Im one of the ones who didnt like this control mechanic. Rip on me if you want, I just hope someone understands my gripes with it.

RE5 was graphically the best looking game of E3 07 and now this vid just confirms my initial thoughts, what an incredible looking game.

EDIT: I just read the mid - end 2009 release? Are they insane? I just hope thats a typo error

Haha they're taking their time with the game. Multidisc release confirmed ;) (not that's a bad thing even if it happens - no one complained about with RE4 on GC)

It surely looks nice, seems like making games early in 360's lifecycle paid off for Capcom. Teaser was running on that hardware.

I still haven't played RE4, I'll probably do that when I buy Wii some day (I don't really want to play PS2 or PC version).

My main gripe with showing games 3 years before they are released is that they wont look half as good that far down the line, then you see too much of the game and by the time its out, the anticipation disappears

How can it get delayed when it never had a release date to begin with. Even with the very first RE 5 trailer released, they said not to expect the game for a while.

again i ask, how can the game be delayed when there was never an official release date. The game being "touted" as a 2008 title doesnt make it official. This is the first time frame we've had for the game.

How can they say its delayed when no OFFICIAL date was set. Samething with Mass Effect long time ago.

They can say like Fall 2008, but they can say early 2009 later on, it doesnt mean its delayed.

When a game gets delayed and it counts is when a game has a month and DATE set.

Depends... I like how developers try implimenting different techniques if they work for their gameplay. That said, most people cannot run and shoot a gun at the same time without issues, let alone do so accurately. So it isn't really false to tell the gamer: if you want to shoot you need to stop and aim.

I can understand not liking the controls... toss me into that crowd in general... but I don't think it is unrealistic and I think it works very well for the game...

And importantly it allows the game to appeal to non-twitch gamers.

I watched both teasers many time. THey look phenomenal.
Is it just me or the teasers are actually from different consoles? Colours are different (I have gametrailers and gamespot 720p offscreen videos) and teaser from Sony conference has no AA.
