The fact it forces the player to go into first person for ADS and not just "zoom" in as a traditional third person shooter pisses me off.

There is an option to keep the third person camera all the time.

It's like they can't fuck up anymore, since they made one good game in 5 years, amiright? From the looks of it, they sure can. This feels as much Ghost Recon as does Far Cry 3.

Out of curiosity, where do you put Rogue Spear, Raven Shield, Lockdown and Siege in a best to worst list?

And if you have ever played SWAT 4 and/or SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate, where do you rank them in a Rainbow 6 + SWAT 4 merged list?

I played the Alpha and the overall feeling of the game was cheap, floaty and had no beef to the movement. Like everyone seems to do on the net is hate on Ubi, a company that have made consistent great games (barring the monstrosity that was Ass Creed Syndicate) IMO for the last few years so i'm hoping they come through with this game.

I await the flames hahah :D

Ubisoft hasnt made a good game since the days of Prince of Persia and Beyond Good and Evil. All their games are now the same. Open worlds filled with icons of things to do.

Yeah, some people are not smart.

If I look at Anno 2205, Far Cry Primal, The Division, Watchdogs 2, Ghost Recoon Wildlands, Reinbow Six Siege, For Honor and Steep (major 2015 to 2017 games), they are all completely different.

It was an alpha. The alpha of R6 was pretty shoddy too. Hopefully they take heaps of feedback.

Oh no! Things to do! I hate Assassin's Creed. I have since the very first game. They still make plenty of good games. This may or may not be one of them.

meant to say useless things to do. Collect this and this and that while the main story and quest missions are uninspired and take a back seat. It was the case in AC and it is in the Watch Dogs, the Far Crys, the Divisions etc....

Far Cry 3 and 4 were fun games. By most accounts, Watch Dogs 2 is a good game. Did you even play The Division?

Do you actually think all of those games are the same?

Sounds like if they're not delivering the content you want, it must be bad.

Black Flag and Splinter Cell Conviction weren't bad either, not to mention Trackmania to name but a few. The only problem really is that they are Ubisoft games, and these past few years, it's been more than frowned upon to like their games, or even acknowledge there is something good in almost every single one of them.

I've had the most enjoyment out of Ubi's games over the last few years. Splinter Cell, R6, The Division, Far Cry, Watch Dogs 1&2, hell even The Crew wasn't bad! And even though they over do it with open world games, at least they add interesting things to do in that game world.

The foliage does look weird, doesn't it? It looks like the old planar bitmap method used back in the 32-bit era. I know that's still used today, but it tends to be for instanced individual blades of grass and leaves, not entire clumps that all move and bend the same at the same time. It just looks off.
