The multiplayer map looks pleasant.
Most apparent it needs some AF. Why the hell doesn't every game get that out of the box? It's way less taxing than AA and makes a huge impact on image quality.
Honestly, anyone claiming to be impressed by this has to be the biggest fanboy in existence. It looks utterly mediocre and no amount of love for the franchise fixes that. I'm sure it'll be a good game but it looks pretty crummy. Like Halo 3 with a film grain filter :P

I think you need to remember what Halo Reach is.. it's not a tighly scripted corridoor shooter. You on a far greater open field of combat.. with great number of AI functioning seperate from one another (not all running at you in a shared animation like L4D for example).
Besides which.. the textures in the last shot look great
I like the rain. Was hoping they would put in some nice looking rain into Reach, just like they did in ODST (except it wasn't nice looking).
Well, that's my expert view for the visuals. I think the meat of the game in the gameplay will be a decent dish.
I've yet to see any AI in action and as such i can only judge what i see and so far it doesn't impress. I love how when you think a game doesn't look spectacular you always get the "how do you know Mr. Psychic!? You haven't played it!" line but when a game gets praise, that same logic doesn't apply? PR hype doesn't sell it for me and the media available to me looks pretty "meh".
Sure they disguise the nature of the game, or at least try to, but theres lots of funneling in there, and even though the corridors are a bit bigger than other games, theyre still largely the same principle.
Enemies AI doesnt start up till you get within certain range, killing so many enemies triggers scripts that call in reinforcements etc.
TBH, these screens impress me more than the last batch, at least theres a little variety here instead of halo generic desert environment #7293

Anti-aliasing?!
