More games should have this effects, pure Star Trek movie look (the last one).
So much lensflare!...I freaking love it!

19 weapons and so many ways to modify near-futuristic weapons?! This is way more than Deus Ex. Is Kusanagi possibly a reference to Ghost in the Shell's Major Kusanagi, hmm???
Looks like Kane and Lynch 2's style has paid dividends, although the worst implementation has to be BF 3 with the smudge spots which makes zero sense in first-person when you're playing! Should've gone to Specsavers.
BF3 was weird, i mean the soldiers didnt even wear glasses to have that effect.
I doubt Kane and Lynch 2 is the first to do this though, I remember Mass Effect had it as well. But really, who began with it is not important, just add it...for me :)

Oh yeah, I wasn't talking about just the lens flare since that has been a staple of sci-fi films, but I was talking more about the camcorder effect. But you're right, this seems only the lens flare route.
But tbh, I love lensflare ALOT, especially the ones that is like a strong light with stretched out edges and fades out, really like it.
Star Trek, the new one, had tons of it!

Yeah it had a lot, was having trouble in some scenes because ofr no reason at all there was lens flare.
I think it looks excellent but it does seem like it's really nothing more than a fps with it's own twist. And that's fine but it does seem bit of a waste considering what the original Syndicate is. Looks like it will be a smart game but i hope they're not using the name alone like it appears they are. Hope i'm wrong and it manages something with that potential
The idea of a singular one man army just works really well in both the cyberpunk genre and FPS games but they are completely true to the rival megazaibatsu premise of the original game, clearly this is not a cheap cash in but a genre reinterpretation.
Not sure about this one tbh.
It may not be Crysis 2, Uncharted 3, Gears 3...but it sure as hell looks stylish and colorful.
Movement doesnt look that bad too me, be it all comes down to the controls, how responsive it is too.
The rest, well I dont know, I am not THAT into it yet, so I will wait for more proper story-based gameplay to tell.
But I do like the style they went with.
Weapon models and feedback seems great too.
It looks really really bad graphically, and it has that same clunky movement that was in both riddick and darkness making the combat look a bit meh. Alt fire modes are cool tho, if a little 'been there done that'
Not sure about this one tbh.
Does that refer to DLC after release, or new media before release?
Anyway, graphics are just fine and dandy. Can't say much else about it yet.
If the AI sucks, it probably won't be very fun.
Not really seeing clunky movement in the videos unless if you're talking about the first-person acting which I love. This looks really great imo. The lighting, lens flares, character models, animation, and shadows with the Starbreeze engine have always been top-notch.
just crappy looking. and their obsession with giving your character a physical body, with physical propperties make the gunplay feel really clunky. side strafing in both the darkness and riddick felt like you where stumbling over your own legs. urgh. i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, and i'm surely going to rent it at the very least, but so far not so good.
... but no one is really expecting a beast of a presentation anyways (reference: http://youtu.be/WJNsSNPktJg?hd=1)
the sales pitch for the weapons does have that "been there done that" feel to it ... I think I saw a gun that reminded of something from Resistance ... which was probably taken from movies like 5thElement and so forth ... maybe if they show more on H2H Combat that would be cool ...
Riddick was soo good! I wonder what happened to this company
What does that mean "be sure to check back every 1st and 15th of every month for exclusive assets"?
