Risen 2: Dark Waters is now available on PC, console owners being forced to wait a few more months, and we took a bit of our precious weekend time to capture a few gameplay videos for you guys. Once gain, Piranha Bytes' new game suffers from quite a few technical issues (pop-in mostly, but also framerate issues on my PC - i5 3.2 Ghz, RAM: 8 Go, Geforce GTX 570) but there is something definitely appealing in being a pirate. The videos were captured using Fraps at 60 fps thanks to Miguel's new comp (i7 5 Ghz, RAM 16 Go, two Geforce GTX 680) so big thanks to him. Update: Images added.
@droezelke: Yeah that's true too.. I mean in general I'm fine with grouping everything into "8th gen" but it's definitely not a clear boundary anymore.. and I guess it never was on PC. (3 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: And the question is: what generation? PS4? Xbox1? PC? Switch...... (9 minutes ago)
Even accounting for personal taste and genre preferences, etc. (11 minutes ago)
Game of the generation is kinda a hyperbolic thing to say about any game. It's tough for me to think of anything that really stands head and shoulders above every other game. (12 minutes ago)
Probably also comes down to what settings and styles you like. I love the Wild West so it appealed to me greatly (22 minutes ago)
@MikeManiac61: funny you mention RDR b/c I was playing that in 4K before GoW and was reminded how great it is (23 minutes ago)
As a boring, overhyped, western wasteland with very little to do, other than skinning animals and playing poker. (34 minutes ago)
