The second guide to survival video of Tomb Raider is all about exploration. It shows how the basecamp system, fast-travel, and equipment upgrade can help Lara to explore the island and go back to areas to acquire items that were out of reach before. The game will be out next month.

I actually think this game looks better than uncharted 3 and the last of us. for one it looks less jagged, and it's got lots of shadows casting on their trees and plants.

My interest has dropped off slightly after some of the previews. But i still think the uncharted-like changes have been for the better. I just can't see the characters, story, or visuals or general atmosphere getting close to their inspiration. Definitely one to watch though. Game length and reviews will be the decider on whether i buy or rent though.

Video is only 4 minutes long, and it already looks like a boring grind fest. Guess we'll see what the demos say, but anticipation for this game is at an all time low (for me obviously.)

Looking pretty awesome. First time I've been excited for a Tomb Raider game for a long time. I just hope the gameplay keeps me more interested than Uncharted has. Took me months to get through UC2. I bought UC3 on release day and only about 1/4 through it (haven't played it for months). Easy to get into the characters and story but I suppose the gameplay isn't interesting enough. Climb, shoot, cutscene, climb, shoot, cutscene. Hopefully TR will be more climb, shoot, explore, climb, shoot, hunt, explore, cutscene. Can't wait to get the PC version. Saddens me so much that there aren't PC versions of games like Halo and Uncharted. They both look great but damn, I love to imagine them on a GTX580 or better. This game on my PC by default will probably look a lot better than UC or Halo.

Don't like the look of this. Lots of fiddly stuff tacked on just for the sake of it to differentiate the game from the previous Crystal Dynamics trilogy. Looks to be lacking the infamous Tomb Raider atmosphere too. The sense of isolation and overwhelming odds against Lara is nowhere to be seen.

on PC, Tomb Raider will of course look much much better than Uc3 and TLoU... on ps3+360, let's see :)
