Commader Shephard fights Sauron in this game? Talk about unexpected...

Anyway, pretty cool trailer actually, although have no clue what the gameplay is going to be like. Seems to have a pretty dark, gritty, realistic tone. Let's hope they at least try something different with this one, rather than just copying you know who....I would love to see a game like this with realistic ballistics, and one shot kills. Maybe throw in some moral dilemmas for good measure....

That was a really well made trailer. I hope this gets released. It has been under development for a long time.

You don't know what it's about? There have been tons of previews of it before it went off the radar a year ago.

Now JOURNEY is that sand game, too!

That trailer was awesome though, hope the game's tone is disturbing rather than male power fantasy.

Might be interesting but the presence of the Desert Eagle pisses me off, when are moviemakers and game devs going to learn that NOBODY IN THE REAL WORLD FUCKING USES IT.

Can't these game developers come up with something else OTHER THAN MORE MILITARY SHOOTERS?? wtf?

Oh and the Commader Shephard thing, I believe there are several articles that focus on how the main character in a shooter game are a stereotypical white male, ex/military, shaven head clones designed to look like "cool" empty shells that the general gaming audience can "identify" with or wannabe like despite being nowhere close to the physical fitness or appearance of the character.

Giantbomb says they want to change the modern military shooter like Apocalypse Now and Platoon did to war films.

As far as I remember, this game always nailed the atmosphere every time they gave us something. Hope it's not just the Apocalypse Now atmosphere that is good in this game...

whatever it is, it needs to be different - fps-es are so abundant (I mean ridiculously abundant) they need to start tackling other elements of play in the genre (games on a whole should do this IMO)

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX starting to sacrifice a lot of the classic flexibility of console platforms. (11 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX It's more of an issue than ever with the shift towards digital ecosystems. The more PC-like these devices come the less excusable the lack of legacy support becomes. Especially when they're already (11 minutes ago)
  • Adropacrich2
Adropacrich2 Mind you the amount of people that do want to play past games is very much smaller than the majority so it's tough luck anyway (12 minutes ago)

Adropacrich2 No compatibility is not as issue despite how I'd have like (14 minutes ago)
  • Adropacrich2
Adropacrich2 Thing is you can sill play these even if not connected so if there wasn't a supporting system in place for whatever reason I can still play these. Not on xbox one apparently (15 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX about it on the PC. Even when compatibility fails, there will be solutions to make legacy software work. (16 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I stopped purchasing XBLA games ages ago. If they don't tell you that you're going to get future compatibility out of future platforms, never expect it. On the other hand, I'm not particularly worried (16 minutes ago)
