A collaboration between Suda51 and Shinji Mikami is a game I couldn't ignore and I am certainly glad I didn't. Shadows of the Damned's story is straight up crazy but then again you wouldn't except anything less from the creative mind behind Killer 7 and No more Heroes. The gameplay feels somewhat like Resident Evil 4 thanks to Mikami-San. It's a survival horror game at its funniest!

I was really excited when I initially heared about this game but after all this videos and reviews I won't get day one. Gameplay seems so uninspired and the controls so clunky. Is it really that bad? One of the good reviews (9 out of 10) stated that it feels like a downloadable game on xbla/psn for 20bucks and that doesn't sound so good...
I really think I have to play the game to appreciate it or are the reviews biased because of the famous devs?

Either the aiming is really hard or whoever is playing makes it look hard.

Played about 2hrs and i can say the aiming is really hard - it's a pain in the arse doing headshots. :( Shooting is much better in games like RE4/RE5.

Yeah aiming is pretty touch but the game is still a lot of fun...the 1 liners are AWESOME!

Too bad that kills it for me, I am not about to struggle with such a basic and well established mechanic.

Seriously, it's like fucking up a cup of coffee that such game design luminaries could fail with this mechanic and while the game has kind of a bizarre charm outside of this, it's absolutely key that this aspect feel good.
