surely this is free...looks like the same old though... its amazing how little variation in the gameplay the game has...its quite baffling considering how fantastic the art/graphics are
Is it free? Seriously?
They may charge for this, but considering it is due out in a few days, and still no price has been announced, maybe not.
And even more importantly, since PoP did not have a proper ending (they ended the game on a cliffhanger, and not even a good one, for those not in the know), they better not charge for this. People paid $60 for a full game, only to not get a proper ending, so Ubisoft better not start the nickel & diming people to death.
On the one hand, I could see a publisher getting greedy like that, Activision, EA and THQ talked about doing just this with all their games, at the start of this generation. However, on the other hand, Prince of Persia probably, simply was not finished when the game shipped last December (which is why it shipped so late in the year in the first place). So the devs completed the bit they had, and shipped it to make the fiscal quarter, with the plan all along to finally complete the entire game, and give it away free via DLC.
Or, it could just be Ubisoft "experimenting" in an inventive way to cut down on pre-owned sales by giving out only part of the game on the disc, and save the ending exclusively for DLC. That too has been talked about a lot this past year by almost all of the top publishers.
We will have to wait and see to know for sure.
