Samba De Amigo will be back after more than seven years without a sequel (Dreamcast, 2000). In this rythm game, all you have to do is reproduce the patterns on screen with the help of your maracas. The WiiMote having the necessary technology, no official peripheral will be bundled with this one. It is suggested to buy a sombrero for maximum potential.

Sure it looks cool but I don't like the thought of playing it without maracas. Am I the only one who wants a true sequel with maracas? Guess all companies want to earn quick cash and therefore they only release some of "those" games for wii. I would love to play this game on my 360 after playing GH2+3, Rock Band and DDR with my mates.

i'll stick to my Dreamcast and maracas to play this one. it wouldn't be the same without them.

lol 1280x960 Wii screenshots. Why do these developers feel the need to lie incessantly? Why do they think anyone would care if a game like this is pretty? (I just wanted to see if it looked better than the Dreamcast version, but now I'll never know (because I won't be buying this))

Any word on the track list, or do they plan on using the same old songs?

Um, I own the dreamcast version - I might consider this, but it's gotta be cheap and it's gotta have a good songlist. I won't object too much to using the Wii controller, as the sensitivity on the maracas was never perfect, especially for the pose, but it does sound like you can pretty much cheat and only rotate your wrists for this one. Anyway, I'm glad sega doesn't make hardware these days as there software hasn't been that great in a long time.
