pshhh is that MS attmept to lure people to play jrpgs on XBOX 360 or to basically make money on any console
I do think that MS is trying to make Blue Dragon into a bigger IP though, but if MS isn't just licensing the IP to the publisher of this game, that would mean it's not MS trying to make the IP bigger.
I might be the only one.. but I'd play it.

HOw about giving Mistwalker the freedom to port their games to other consoles if they want to, to keep a good relationship with them didnt you think of that ;)
you see this is why why xbox will always be western shooter console. if MS doesn't push for more jrpg's on its console. who will ?
how about MS expand the game on xbox/MS platform . i would appreciate it if they made low budget game and put it on xbl instead of putting it on another platfrom.

Anyway Sakaguchi has already made one DS game and its unclear who the IP belongs to as MS doesn't own MW.

The sane freedom sony gives? Why is it that whenever ms does something that it's considered evil but when others do it nobody even looks at it.
What are you talking about? Sony gives them freedom. Hell they don't even bribe people by waving money in there faces. FFXII: RW went to DS just like how BD is copying..I mean doing too.
Sony doesn't control Squenix, Squenix has Sony in the palm of its hand. Why do you think they never ever considered joining up with SonyCEA? Because their power over fans is unparalleled, and any movement they do can shake the console war.
So if Squenix wants to expand their empire, they don't have to give a damn about Sony because it'll just hurt them if they put up a fight. No more exclusive deal anyone? They just showed how their Crystal Tools engine works not only on the PS3 and 360, but also the Wii (tho significantly dumbed down); they're overlords now, sweet and simple.
If I hear one more piece of bullcrap about the corporate nature of MS, I will literally rip the internet apart to find you, drag you through the broken glass, take a shard and stabbed it deep into your neck while drawing the shard across its width.
Sony's a corporation, Nintendo is a corporation. Let us not forget that it was Sony acting the f**king corporate assholes with their 'It's not a gaming machine, it's an experience' bullcrap, and total disregard for the opinions of their own long-standing fans. Did you even see the snarky 'in-shirt-xbar' shirts they were giving out at GDC as a response to totally understandable criticism of having in-game xbars like Live has?
If anything, MS has shown itself to at least, on some basic level, know what to change. Their demographic was limiting, so they did what they could to expand it. They're good with networking across multi-platforms, and so they created the ultimate multiplaying environment for consoles. They may not be that game-business savvy, but at least they try.
Btw, as far as 'copying', how about those COPYRIGHT INFRINGING things Sony has done? PSN and 'Entitlements', Sixaxis motion, and a brand new motion REMOTE.
So who's the bastard now hm? It's one thing to follow age-old business traditions, it's quite another to copy wholesale PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.
