whats up with the textures? :-/
I really like the styalistic approach to the scenery though, especially in shot one. and in shot 3 thats a great draw distance over london, if there is some free roam and dog fighting over live, i'll definately be picking this up. Anyone know the release date?
i guess its clear tha i am sarcastic.
will see next-gen games.
what a amazing game, these textures ohhhhhh

Wow. Flying in London among detailed buildings could be really fun.
The 3rd shot looks the best but tower bridge seems out of place.
I mean its ok to have LOD buildings in the distance but when they are a cardboard box even upclose, no thanks. And the planes themselves arent that hot either, several games on the PC do them better. No AA and low-res global textures aswell, apart from the skybox which is the least you should expect with 512MB.
Anybody whose played BF42 on the PC with a high-end PC (or enough to run full detail), build the city from those buildings, create a mod of that game to mimic this game and there you have next gen. Now that would look stellar.
And this from a guy who enjoyed IL2 Sturmovik on the PC with a flight stick and loves flying the planes in Battlefield 42. This game just doesnt do it for me purely from a visual standpoint. It just screams LAST-GEN PORT!
Infact looking at the first shot again, oh my freaking god, is this a PSP game? Scale the shot down to PSP res and there you have it.

I don't see the visual prowess. BF2 Buildings look good from the ground, but in the air...not so much (just OK). Anyhoo, BF2 maps look to be half the size with 1/5 the number of buildings, so maybe your expectations are a little unrealistic (for now)? Anyhow if they pull off the experience I think they're aiming for the buildings should blur just enough for you not to notice the lack of detail. The planes do need some work though; they are just not attractive (yuck).
I agree though that this game isn't really moistening my pants based on these screenshots but hopefully it will pull together nicely at launch. By the way I think some of that AA is helped by a decent HDTV. There were a couple of games that had "jaggies" in screenshots that were smooth as silk when I sat down and played them
Can't say much from these pictures though i like the style.. and the planes are looking somewhat ok.. maybe in motion later.. might be good, might suck.

Looks alot better in motion. This is starting to peak my interest.
Sorry for the double post.
IGN has a video preview... http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/788/788821/vid_...
