I think Sony's crazy to charge $40 for the demo. For the same price I'd rather get a couple of COMPLETE, used games I haven't played yet. (Let's face it, there's not much new in Prologue outside of online.)
Even the gt fanboys must relize that they are paying money for a demo, i wish sony would just stop waisting time on this bs and release the full game.
I'm enjoying it quite a bit, I wouldn't call it exactly short either. I'm still in B class, trying to earn the 16 million I supposedly need to buy that Audi R8 so I can move on to A class and eventually S class.
IMO, it may have the best graphics of anything out there, as long as you focus on the cars. The trackside detail is pretty sparse, but the cars and the effects around the cars are second to nothing.
So for this version i'm hoping they finaly drop it out of the game

Looks so damn dark, hey anyone out there knows if you still have to take these damn Liciense test before you can drive? cause after all these years now it's real boring to take them over and over for each game.

...
Edit-So they finally put an American release date(Euro still TBA apparently). 2/19
Why do people keep complaining about it being 40 dollars?

Lots of talk about the presumably great new phyics in GT5.. To bad the reviewer doesn't compare them at all with the physics in Forza 2 (I think because that reviewer probably never played Forza 2).. I would really like to know how the 2 games compare when it comes to the driving simulation.. Also, how is the online MP racing in GT5 (is that in the Prologue?)? None of that aswell in this review unfortunatly..
1- the car is very small
2- NO PHYSICS AT ALL....
Other than that its good
but i prefer forza2
Errr what?

10 tracks (+10 reverse), 37 cars, 16 player online multiplayer, downloadable episodic content, GT-TV video content and plenty more hardly counts as a "demo" does it? did anyone see the last NFS demo? hardly the same thing.
oh, and to the idiot with the "2- NO PHYSICS AT ALL...." comment:
In terms of physics the game's Single Race mode will allow simulation selection between "Standard" or the more realistic "Professional" gameplay, this feature was not available in Gran Turismo HD Concept, Active Stability Management (ASM) de/activation and fully adjustable Traction Control System (TCS)[14]. All of these features are already available in the free playable demo.
calling it a demo is like calling the first part of lord of the rings a trailer.

Try to hit a car and see what happens
I studied physics at school and now in college .... so i know what im talking about
At least i tried it!!!!

Just to point it out, this comment isn't meant to say GT5 has a bad physics engine. Just saying those features mean nothing as to how good or poor a physics engine can be in racing game.
I agree that the physics engine makes or breaks a racing game. Forza 2 got it right and it has seen a success because of it. I worry that beneath the graphics is the same old pinball GT games of the past.
