Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed God of War: Ascension. The video hints at a prequel as it mentions a time before Kratos was known as the Ghost of Sparta. Set to release exclusively on PS3 in Spring 2013. Announce trailer after the jump.

sure maybe this time they include a free movable cam and fix the damm crap that combo animations will finish before the block is up that i pressed 2 seconds ago...i know hate me but Bayonetta is gameplaywise lightyears ahead.

Didn't you hear, it's a prequel to even Ghost of Sparta. All the gods will be alive. There's no ambition in this project.

Good stuff, I loved GOW 1 & 2 but 3 was disappointing as it wasnt quite in the same league as the first two. They should of well got to grips of the PS3 now so i do expect this to be STUNNING.

easy orbs tho to make your blades more devestating. be greatfull he only has the stamina of a chiwawa and finishes within 10 seconds.

looking forward to this one. i wonder if the chain blades will return seeing as it's a prequel. be crazy to remove the think that makes the game stand out combat wise...trailer was shite tho, need gameplay.

Thats what I meant, DONT make God of War. Same devs, new IP, new direction in another myth.
GoW3 ended well and Kratos got his "vengeance" and thats all it mattered in GOW series.

Whats the point of nerfing a god to a warrior and experience his warrior life? Who the hell wants to play a nerfed character. I will probably not get this.
