Do these low-profile RPGs (Risen, Gothic, Two Worlds, etc.) actually make money? I don't personally know anyone that plays them and they don't seem to review very well.

Alot of people for your interest.
Most of people who care about roleplaying games on PC and don't actually read biased 9.0+ reviews of space shooting wannabe rpg's?

They're pretty huge in Eastern Europe, where only PC games reign.

I see your one of those people that likes to hate on ME even when it had absolutely nothing to do with my legitimate question. But that's fine. I'm used to it by now.

  • nostradamus
nostradamus @Moonwalker: they don't sell on the west in any platform either. not in any sales that are meaningfull for the publisher just for the small niche dev. it's just that localizing is a effortless job (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @KORNdog: it's a shame though. 360 had a lot of these games but they are all gone now. I guess they don't only not sell on Japan, neither in the West too. (7 Hours ago)
