OMG this trailer is absolutely terrible. It totally kills the mood of the Souls series. I really hope it was just a terrible result of Namco Bandai's "AAA promotional campaign" and has nothing to do with the actual game.
Guess you all forgot the Bartholomew trailer for the first one. Pretty much the same thing, but worse. I hardly think it's any indication of the quality of the game.

You're right, I actually forgot about that trailer. Maybe, because I've seen it only once and it was after two or three "classic" Dark Souls trailers. Anyway, I still hope and believe the game will hold true to Souls' roots, but that trailer is still pretty bad.
