FREE substantial DLC from EA of all people (cant beleive I said that about EA!!)
But EA would have had a say in it, surely.
But i guess you could say that EA had a say in it since they didn't force the criterion team to charge for the dlc ;)
Edge magazine had a big interview with the criterion team, the free dlc had been a part of the plan for burnout paradise in the early planning stages for the game.

Either way I think this is setting an example for what DLC is meant to be about, I know some people dont like Paradise at all and this wont change their mind, but for us that do this is BIG additions to the game while some people are expected to pay cash for re-skins on planes!!!
I know the next Paradise download has to be paid for (the island update) but they will be getting my money after giving us two decent lots for free! I hope other companies are taking notes - you want something from us (money!) give us something first!

Besides, I'll download the vastly cheaper version off PSN when the package is complete, then I won't really be paying over the odds for any of it.
Umm, sorry for asking a dumb question, but why should developers give you anything for free?
Episodic content should obviously be paid, but small pieces like extra cars, maps, etc. should be given out free more often like the previous posters said.
If this game had splitscreen it would be a purchase. The death of splitscreen is a bummr. Pretty game though.
Cant wait for this, one of the best online games this year and FREE substantial DLC from EA of all people (cant beleive I said that about EA!!)
