PS3

Here comes a new trailer which has plenty of spoilers (in my opinion anyway) for Metal Gear Solid 4, an exclusive Playstation 3 title. As usual, it is very classy. We can't wait to get our hands on this gem next month!

Games that use SPU's for rendering don't really have an advantage over X360 games, they rather make up for the RSX's lack of power.
MGS3 was PS2 exclusive in 2004 because by then the PS2 had sold so many units that Konami didn't need to think about a Xbox port. In 2001, when MGS2 was released, less PS2 consoles were sold and Konami ported the game to Xbox.
Right now, thre are less PS3s around than X360s. If Konami ported the game to X360, they would more than double the sales. It just depends if Sony is paying them even more...
Hmm. the only game i know which uses SPU's for rendering is Uncharted and this Game looks pretty well!

Anyway i just hate this arrogant comments about the RSX like it doesn't have any power. RSX and Xenos are equal in Processing Power. And the RSX even has i higher fill rate.

this trailer hyped me up more then pretty much any gamplay or trailers i've ever seen, the deep, movie guy voice was a little cheesey, but it worked well overall. man im psyched. if any game is GOTY material for me besides GTA4. this is definately it. the character models, especially the faces, are of insane quality. cant wait. and its less then a month away. w00t

Kojima and team really did put a lot of detail into the game. Look at the detail on the Sony Ericson they've put in the game: http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/8382/vampcellou...

Can't expect much more from a 9y/o fanboy.

I've never been a fan of MGS because of the humour and the story, but this looks like it'll be pretty insane for fans of the series. I'm interested in seeing some other locales.

Yep, I've been a fan since 2001, played MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, MGSTT, MGS3S, MGPO, MG1, and MG2, and I am going insane over this game.

The port of MGS2 to Xbox didn't fare well. It sold poorly in fact.
Yes, the Xbox port of MGS2 sold poorly and performed worse than the original PS2 version (framerate issues during the Tanker Mission). Also, Konami announced MGSX (what many had thought would be a remake of MGS1 but utlimately turned out to be the Xbox port of MGS2) long before they actually released MGS2 on the PS2. However, MGS2 sold a boatload of copies on the PS2, hit platinum incredibly fast, and more than made up for development costs on its own so the MGS2 Xbox port would have been icing on the cake if it performed well saleswise, which it didn't due to consumer disinterest (MGS2 was launched when the Xbox launched which meant that if you were an MGS2 fan, chances were you'd pick up a PS2 instead of an Xbox at the time which meant that the core audience of Xbox owners probably were not interested in MGS2 or already owned it on their PS2) and lack of advertising.

Look at the resolution. Must be for teh PSP :D

360 version might happen. It'll be dumbed down to remove tons of content and features, everything will be highly compressed. Yet, it'll still come on 4 DVD9s :P Good luck ;)
Trust me, it won't happen. You guys don't think Sony didn't lock this one up in some way or another? Kojima is also not big on ports. He tried it with MGS2 on the Xbox and it failed. He isn't a port kind of guy.

Best trailer! Just pre-ordered my copy :D. I'm an xbot at heart but man I couldn't resist the force that is mgs! I got a ps3 with uncharted 2 months ago, haven't bought any games since but next month mgs will be getting played to death till my ps3 is all heated up and busted. If it goes to 360 in a year then cool, but I'm happy I can play it next month.
