Microsoft has released tons of images and videos from Ninja Gaiden 2 today, revealing different staffs and maps from the game in horribly compressed videos.
Update: Information and image of upcoming DLC added
Microsoft has through the XCN announced that a costume will be available for 39 000 gamers. Press release:
Inspired by the Hayabusa family’s namesake, the falcon, this demonic costume mirrors the intensity of Ryu’s vengeance and fury as he fights to regain the honor of his clan. It’s almost as if he’s been transformed into a Fiend by the evil powers of the underworld with this costume – but retains all the honor of the Hayabusa Ninja Clan."
Starting July 2008, Xbox Live members worldwide will be able to download 3 unique Hayabusa costume packs for 200 MS points each to use in Ninja Gaiden II. Each costume pack is a completely new and never before seen look for our Ninja hero, Ryu Hayabusa.
The first of the 3 costume pack designs is being revealed today. This will be exclusively available in selected countries to 39,000 gamers on launch day as part of pre-sale or launch promotions with specific retail partners. Look for more details on other two designs and specific country promotions to be revealed in the coming weeks. Go to xbox.com/ng2 or your favorite retailer to pre-order Ninja Gaiden II today!

It´s hard to beat the graphics that the Xbox version presented, but to me they really look nice. They look a lot like the in-game trailers that the Xbox version had.

If it wasn't for all the blood this game would look terrible. The more time that passes the more i lose interest in this title, the initial reaction of, "Awesome! Look at all the gore!" has worn off and the game just looks dull.

Is it just me or are the Lunar Staff images vastly superior to the other batch of screen shots. Hyabusa even has skin texture :o I wish there was some sort of field depth very odd to see everything in focus at all times. But anyway gameplay looks brilliant!!! Lovin the combos :D

this game doesn't look hardly any better than the Xbox version, except for the over-excessive blood and gore (like the other dude said). And everything moves so fast its like...ok i GUESS that looks cool, but i dont know because i cant see what the F*** is going on!
whatever. ill prolly buy it just cause its Ninja Gaiden.

I'm pretty confused how people can complain about graphics with any Team Ninja game. They are never a slouch in that department. I can understand complaining about their style choices, but that's about it... otherwise their games always play how they should and look good in motion
As far as improvements. From what I saw all the animations are much more fluid. Character models are slimmer and Hyabusa isn't as bulky/overly muscular... he has more of a ninja slim form.
Animations are the most impressive part I have seen.
Everything is mostly going to be refined and built from the last build. Why would you expect anything else? Sequels are for making the 1st better than it was, not creating a whole new game entirely.

Heh, I think Microsoft is feeling some panic here, c'mon, there isn't even the slightest sane reason to release used-up images and such bad quality videos to the public again... as they've just done here.
Sony's gamer's day has partularly been greatly successful and with rumours arising everyday that Bioshock and Mass Effect are also coming to PS3, Microsoft's numbers of BIG exclusives for 360 are getting smaller and smaller, and with PS3 out-selling 360 constantly for over half a year, even without a single BIG PS3 exclusive, its definitely a scaring position for MS...
I think we will definitely be witnessing such random acts of panic from MS from now on!!!

Also Bioshock and Mass Effect have been out on 360 for a while... with how hard it is to create a game on PS3 (in comparison), either expect it not to come out for an even LONGER time, or be a shitty port that isn't as good as the original.

Two or three interesting looking games for the PS3 is hardly a reason for them to panic, in my opinion the 360 still has a far stronger line up this year, especially conisdering the majority of PS3 titles are yet more FPS, which the Sony fanboys have always been quick to bash the Xbox for having so much of. Not such a problem now though, is it? :)

And talk about a lot of shitty ports to PS3, well, not everyone is Valve for one thing, and for another, lots of devs are getting to understand PS3 now, I bet EA does, and Bioshock's devs are also not so incompetent either. If there has been Turok that is a bad port, there also are examples of Oblivion, GTAIV and Burnout Paradise that are way better looking and glitch free on PS3 than 360.

Unique titles like LBP and MotorStorm are way more captivating than already stellar FPS titles like KZ2 and Resistance 2, that add up to a great mix, especially with upcoming MGS4, Siren and Gran Turismo 5...

Combine Halo fans and GTA fans together, and you will get my hype for Ninja Gaiden 2.
I am done, I am finished.
I can't take it anymore. I know too much about NG2, it doesn't matter how many images I watch or videos, I am done. I have never been hyped for a game like this one.
Ever since NG on Xbox came out and I finished it, I have been waiting too long for a sequal and next month is it, unless some bullshit devil making makes Team Ninja delay it, which I doubt.
Now I want that May demo NOW to decrease my bloodlust for the full game.
The images and videos are old as ever but what do you expect from a fan that is keeping himself updated as soon as something is released.
I hope Itagaki adds all the music pieces in the Sound option like he did previously.
The music track "Emperor" is THE best track I have ever heard and I have no doubt I will find a very bad ass one from NG2 :D
Form the videos I have seen the tracks for the soundtrack is already great, I have even found a early favorite track :D
Ninja Cinema is gonna be very fun. Recording your gameplay and then sending it to other people through XBL to let them see how you play it, is great.
Great way to show to people how to find all the hidden items, how to kill the bosses...guides really.
PS. screenshots are "cool" but there is no way it makes the game any justice with its fast paced, gory action, let alone for NG2 were they speed things up alot and blood and limbs is flying everywhere!
Ninja Gaiden 2 is my Game of the Year by default!
I will be playing it for like, 2-3 years just like I did with the original one.

The last thing you should think is that GAMES are making the PS3 a bigger seller, because it doesn't have a strong enough library yet to say that
