BTW, I wasn't complaining about DMC4, I love it, but the reaction it's got from reviewers and gamers about being the same don't seem to be applying to NG2, which seems to suffer from the problem worse. Double standards annoy me.
The only flaw I saw in the game was the (surprise) camera, and it wasn't as bad as the first NG. It's just moving enemies off camera, going in close so it's hard to see. Kind of weird. But I love the upgrades that the game received.
NG2 is gonna be like NG anyways, gameplay of course. Sure the new feature is finishers but other than that, its gonna be the same as the first one, so the professionals at NG will be right at home with NG2.
The only thing most gamers hated about DMC4 (those who like DMC of course) was the backtracking.
You went forward with Nero, but was backtracking with Dante.
You fight the bosses one time as Nero, but fight them again as Dante, and again, Fight them for the 3rd time with Nero.
So DMC4 is just a a backtracking game, and it gets boring as hell.
But with NG2, you never come back in the same LEVEL twice, Itagaki hated that in the first one with Tairon, so did I.
I just hope we don't have to fight the same boss again, that Alma pink bitch annoyed the shit out of me, so I hope Itagaki doesn't pull another one out of his ass to annoy me again!
But that is likely not gonna change :P
I hope we get to see the new heroine soon, and I hope she doesn't look like a bitch on the alley like Rachel did.
I hope she is like that white outfit ninja from NG Dragon Sword from the DS version, she looks perfect and natural look.

It was boring and repetitive.They designed "3 levels" (sarcasm) and forced you playing them over and over again until you reached the bragged no. of hours per game.DMC 1 was the best,it had something new.
And this was the best mix of level design IMO. The game is linear at the beginning but later NG became some kind of Open-World game but everytime you explored new levels (ice cave etc.). A great design, if you ask me.
Another new feature are so called "Attack-Throws" (specific moves can grab enemies if the first strike hits).
NG2 looks/is awesome and I cant wait. It was always my favourite game (with Dead or Alive).

DMC4's graphics are way overrated. The only part where I was amazed was where you fight the giant statue. That part looked amazing, but everything else looked pretty average to me, only during gameplay of course. The graphics looked better in the cutscenes, but in-game there were flat looking buildings, confined environments, and pretty much every battle took place in a square arena type field...
At first the game may not seem that great looking if you compare it to its predecessor but really, the first Ninja Gaiden still looks a lot better than some 360 games out right now. So the leap in graphics may not be as big as something like PGR2 to PGR3, but if you just compare the game to other next gen games, it's wonderful looking. It runs at a rock solid 60 fps, the draw distance is insane, and is just an overall very polished looking game. I don't think it will get all the graphical hype the original got, but it's still a great looking game.

In fact, I feel that is being detrimental to people medically boxed into that category, so I'll take it back.
It'll be a great game for people who enjoy the series, and a misnomer for those who don't. It's always been the way.
