We've finally been able to play the PC version of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and we've recorded a GSY Offline to tell you about it. Because of the poor quality of this video, we've obviously added some high quality footage of the game as well. That should wrap up our coverage of Ubisoft's latest title, so hopefully, you'll have appreciated the effort. Enjoy! Important note: It seems the volumetric clouds are mostly to blame when it comes to performance issues in the game. So don't max them out as you'll lose a lot and won't see much of a difference visually.
yea, I don't really know how emulation works. (38 minutes ago)
The CPU will probably have multiple compatibility layers, replicating each architecture. Most likely just for PS3 and 4. Any decent CPU within the last decade has the PSX covered. (4 Hours ago)
@KORNdog: Probably an architecture thing, or something to do with the bios. Most emulation is brute forced. There's a good reason why the likes of PS3 are only now being efficiently emulated. (4 Hours ago)
Bit isn't that just like any emulator? Isn't a SNES emulator on a modern PC pretending to be that old hardware to give more accurate results during emulation? (9 Hours ago)
@b0vril: what I don't understand about it is everything I've read says it lets the CPU "pretend" to be the native CPU of the console it's running backwards compatible games for. (9 Hours ago)
Had a game tonight where I popped the final player while riding Pathfinder's zipline out of the storm. So satisfying. (17 Hours ago)
I wish Apex Legends had replays. It's one of those games that just delivers the most clippable moments. (17 Hours ago)
