Vampyr teases upcoming dev diaries

Focus have announced DONTNOD Presents Vampyr, a four-part weekly webseries that shows the creative team in Paris bringing the narrative-driven RPG to life. The first video Making Monsters will be available next week. The game itself will release this Spring.

i don't think many games are going to bomb as hard as this in 2018.

Me too. Excluding GoW and RDR2, this and the new Call of Cthulhu are my most anticipated games of this year. I can't wait to start playing them. ;)

@KORNdog If I understood you correctly, you think that this game is going to flop? I don't think so.

it's a new IP. it's releasing among some established franchise heavy hitters in Q1/2. it isn't a cheap interactive story like life is strange. it is single player only (look how well those have been selling recently), and the last game they made that was an actual game was absolute horse shit (remember me)...i mean, disagree by all means, maybe i'm wrong and it'll be a multi million seller, but the odds are massively stacked against them. i'm thinking terrible sales and heavy price cuts after a month or so. i don't even see it reviewing that well tbh.

The issue with this game was that it looked rough before the delay, so if its better quality now i think it has a good chance of being success because both the game looks very interesting and dontnod are a wellknown studio now with LIS

problem being there have been multiple other great looking (and reviewing) single player only games released recently and they all sold horribly, it's like the market aren't interested. not to mention LIS was barely even a "game". the last time they tried making an actual "game" was remember me and we all know how that turned out.

if this does indeed flop, my guess is don't nod will turn into a telltale-like studio who just make interactive stories.
