Videos of FlatOut 4 : Total Insanity

The FlaOut series is back with FlatOut 4: Total Insanity. Available today on Xbox One and PS4, this new episode is quite a departure from the origins of the franchise, with an even more arcadey feel that is a bit reminiscent of the racing games of the 90s. It's not a bad game, but we can't say we are very excited by what it has to offer. The content is still quite rich, with races, pit fights and a multitude of mini-games. Let us now you an overview of what this fourth installment has in store for you.

I remember you guys would post a lot on the new game by Bugbear Wreckfest. I assume they haven't updated the game in early access in a long time since there hasn't been any major release for it in ages.

This doesn't look half bad and is clearly a completely different team than those who brought us the terrible Flatout 3.

Ok I take it back, there seem to be no real damage system at all in that Arena video....much less fun compared to flatout 1 and 2. console gamers can keep it.

God dam this looks awful! Graphically it looks like a nintendo switch title. Really does look like a 2007 title.

What's up?
  • MrWhite
MrWhite that's a pretty big deal, as its probably the biggest stumbling block for the tech. (2 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Stuff like inside out tracking and eye tracking, as well as motion sickness solutions should be in place. We've already got a product in development that claims to have eradicated that already (2 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite The potential of it is massive. More so than what traditional gaming now is. Second gen is going to be very interesting. (2 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite We're sort of being spoon fed bit sized "experiences" that either work or don't. I suppose that's part of the freshness of it, though. I just wish some big devs would get more involved. (2 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @KORNdog: Ironically, though, the VR scene is also playing it safe. Too safe. There's not enough big risk titles like RE7. (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I can't really wrap my head around being dismissive of indie games. That's a pretty broad label. (5 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus put and end to corridor/cinematic/c utscene/qte/playforyousoyouwon'tmissathi ousoyouwon'tmissathing ng experiences, and start to see more games like Prey/BotW and the sort. Nuts&Bolts is an awesome game, as well. We need N&B2 (7 Hours ago)
