Ghost Recon: Wildlands opens its beta

Ghost Recon: Wildlands opens its beta

The open beta of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands is coming February 23-27. It contains the same content as the closed beta and more, including the new province of Montuyoc to explore. As a reward, participants of the beta (closed or open) will get the bonus mission "Unidad Conspiracy" for the final game when it releses on March 7.

Will be interesting to see how it is compared to the closed beta which was supposed to be a few month old build. Lets see if Ubi can turn this game around.

I'll have to give this another go. I didn't pay the first beta much attention because it ran so poorly. I wonder if this will run any better. Probably not :/

the closed beta was simply disastrous. optimisation issues ruined the fun for me, if there was supposed to be any in the first place

A good portion of people couldn't even get the game to launch. I being one those people. Is it worth downloading to check if they've fixed this?

Get a bonus missions by pre-ordering, another bonus mission by playing the beta, another bonus mission by buying the Deluxe Edition... god, I miss when games had just one version with all the content.

Those glory days are long gone... the last 10 years+ have been an either conform or quit market.

The age-groups are flipped on their heads. And I still don't understand any 35+ year old's justification for preferring the new way games are sold in slices, with cut content, lack of substance, etc over the golden years. It boggles the mind, but they're out there... trying desperately to hold on to their toys that have absolutely no resemblance to what they once were.

Megido @Sdarts: i tjink ive been pretty consistent in saying the books are better than the games. I dont know why you even directed that at me :) (5 Hours ago)

Sdarts The Witcher games - and books - aren't perfect, but nothing is. For what they are and what they have accomplished, I thank both the author and the developers from the bottom of my heart. (9 Hours ago)

Sdarts And it ran for years under the radar of almost everyone before the anime, then it suddenly became an enourmous worldwide success. In a way, the same happened with The Witcher books and the games. (9 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Megido: Just because certain works aren't very popular doesn't mean that they aren't great. Take for example Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), the manga is even better than the anime. (9 Hours ago)

Sdarts @GriftGFX: English. And also listened to them in English. Same with Game of Thrones' books. (9 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Although the games' writing isn't at the same level as the books', it's still far, far, far vastly better than 99% of the writing in games, movies, TV shows and books. CD Projekt RED did an epic job. (9 Hours ago)
