game seems to use deffered rendering now, and it's perfect for such a game with so much ligthmaps.
Rockstar could seriously be doing with licensing cars.
pretty damn boring screen shots. we need a new trailer. or at least show who the main character is so we can hopefully get more interesting screens.
Damn dog, everything is boring to you! I mean, yea they are clearly still being coy about the game, but these shots are pretty nice I think!
game seems to use deffered rendering now, and it's perfect for such a game with so much ligthmaps. First screen (dat battlefield 3) and last screen use the out of sfocus background in a way it seems bokehn effect, a bit bullshotty but iq dos seem a tad aliased so i don't know. the car screen is tottaly weak, though. not bad, but kinda weak compared to the others. even the bike&rider look good.
I think I read somewhere that the engine is now using global illumination, so that explains the jump in the lighting quality.
The Xbox 360 handled Gta4, Red dead, and the new sleeping dogs very well.
Looks like GTA 4's engine, not exactly blowing my skirt up.

Talking about other 3d effects and trickery is a bit premature tho, let the game become retail, lets see how it reviews and how it runs... this is a console gaming effort and there is really no need to be excited for next gen hardware because that is misleading and rather premature.
Game devs and publisher companies know that their best profits come later in the console lifecycle when there are higher instal base of consoles sold... and sorry there is just no faith in investing in PC as much as I love the temporary tech there it will no doubt look neato but its in the consoles where the GTA V will sell like hotcakes and then some.
