Apparently this is a propper HD remake. All assets are being re-done. But the gameplay will be retained. Basically like strangers wrath, which was also amazing. Day 1.

Nah, i played the original a couple of months ago and it was still great.

Strangers Wrath HD was one of the best HD rereleases, and judging from this shot so will this, and the game will be as awesome as it was when it came out for the first time !!

Another game that will be as good, if not better than the original, as it was back then. LORNE LANNING is involved dumbasses, this isn't a Silent Hill HD Collection. This is going to be so sweet.
I'd say Microsoft (and owners of just 360s too) are kinda pissed off now that they fucked up relations with JAW.

AFAIK this will be all redone in 3D graphic.
After all, I would rather get a new game than a remake.

yup, redone to meet with current gen visuals, but retaining the gameplay of the first PSone classics, which is all i want really. i certainly wouldnt want them to mess with the mechanics, because if anything, that's the one thing that still holds up so well today.

i wonder how they are gona mind explode in the HD one? because the old one was pretty vivid but obviously fake looking, i wonder if there gona go uber gory? or maybe just there heads will explode xD anyway glad the best PS1 game is coming back & kicking! one of the only ps1 games i can go back to & it be as good as i remembered! ^^ cant wait!

Because to make a sequel you'll need money, so they're trying to get some momentum in the series again, like they did in early 2000's. So, JAW is updating Munch, already updated Stranger's and are remaking, in the true sense of the word, Abe's Oddysee, with a similar game and same mechanics, but at the same time, a different game from what you got in 1998.
