Page 1 2 >>Looks like the track is turning not the car.
Another stupid failure. The car - a toy. Oscillations of suspension - artificial. Tracks look interesting, but it may not mean anything. That's it, I forgot about this game.
Yes the car seems to be floating. It looks like pivotal steering too. It's just not good enough. Why did they give the license to such an untalented developer three years in a row?
Still, rally game based on the actual sport with office chair handling? or bastardised rally game based on ken block with office chair handling? I take the former, even if it does t look as pretty...it's the lesser of 2 evils at this point. And seeing as we're never going to get another richard burns...it's the best we've got.
I must say I really like the graphics, I even know racing games with much worse engine sounds, BUT......what I really dont like is the physics model and thats the one single aspect of rally game, I want to be perfect. If there is not good physics modelling, then to hell with graphics and sounds. Not interested at all. But still in progress....we will see.
looks MUCH better then the past ones. hopefully the general presentation and front end arnt as cheap and nasty as they where before. so far, i'd rather play this then DiRT3.
Bring back V-Rally!! ;D
I think the major issue i have with this footage that the car looks and track seems to be a bit out of scale.
Also, it is very noticeable that the car isn't in contact with the road at all. I don't totally agree with the statements that it looks as it's the track that turns and not the car - however it is clear that car mass is totally off and calculated in a very simple physics model.
I hope this can remedied, as I would really like to have a great new rally game. But - I have my doubts...
Have no developers played Richard Burns ffs?
The graphics are decent, the routing looks great, BUT the sound is nothing but awful! Especially the exhaust and the drifting...
