Just watched a bit of this on youtube...man does it look shit. A cheap Gears rip-off with absolutely non of the gritty realism and moral abiguity they promised....This is SO going to flop.

The game looks ok other than the atmosphere which is very, sandy. too bad its not fantasy like such as the mummy.

Also, at one point they speak farsi, which is my language, funny to hear it in a game after so many russian and arab languages.
Battlefield 3 had it but its very subtitle.

I dont know if it is him or not. It's not on his IMDB list at any rate. Does sound similar tho if it isnt.

Looks decent, and it will just look better on PC. Gameplay wise it seems like an average shooter so if I can get it cheap I will give it a spin.

Demo was ok, Shooting mechanics were bland and uneventful.

Sorry but Gears Of War was the transformers of the gaming world for me, as that game had no soul, bad story etc.. i loved the 1st gears but after that the series went down hill.

You can get knocked over by your squad when they're landing from the zip lines!

The squad commands work great. Responsive when you want to sneak by and order silenced headshots. Also get you out of a tight spot later on with snipers and RPG guys.

Really liked the demo, on my radar. I love that you don't have to hold onto a button to sprint, and if you do hold it down, you automatically stick to the next cover.

I heard the tone at the start is dudebro, and then it eases you into the more deplorable, darker side. The demo showed hints of that, and genuinely interested where the story's gonna go with the Apocalypse Now vibe.

I happen to think most games suck as well. but I personally don't feel the need to hop in on every topic and make it a point to let people know. KORNdog suffers from angry dork syndrome and unfortunately they have not found a cure.

Yup...so much for all the promises the devs made. It just seems so futile for devs to make games like this. It shows absolutely no creativity, looks and feels like a lesser version of existing games, and doesnt even LOOK all that great to boot. Why even bother? It's like developers who make COD clones in an attempt to steal some of the fanbase. Who in their right mind would want to play a lesser piss poor alternative to something, when you have the real deal right there?

Well put. Thats why I barely buy, and play "new games" anymore.

It's a squad shooter, which Gears of War or Call of Duty aren't. You can issue orders to aggro enemies, and flank them which those games never allowed. The setting is different enough, I've never played through sand-ravaged cities, tilted skyscrapers that feel more like Cloverfield. The civil war between the refugees and the 33rd is intriguing and different from anything, and there's a lot more mystery behind the plot than other shooters.

You're really on some weird bent against mid-tier games. Did you even play the demo?

they'll all die out soon enough thanks to their broken form of development. in the past you'd counter something great with something completely different yet equally great. now though, you just get copy cats and wanabees. the best way to grab an audience is make something better, not something the same. these mid tier devs 9 times out of 10 go for the latter. they're not concerned with creativity or quality, they just want to make the same game that is currently popular and hope that it'll distract people long enough to make a quick buck. this game is no different. we've played this game before elsewhere, only better. so why does it even exist? this could have been something genuinely great, but they played it safe like most other devs. the sooner devs stop trying (and failing) to be other games, the more varied our experiences will be. seperate the wheat from the chaff as they say, this game WILL flop...and i'm not going to cry about it becasue as far as i'm concerned, it's just an inferior version of games i've played already. but by all means, you enjoy it. just don't expect me to.

this is nothing like gears or COD LMAO wtf you on about. its not all about gameplay, you expect a evolution in every fucking game? there is only so much you can do with 3rd person. UNCHARTED PLAYS LIKE SHIT COMPARED TO GEARS, does it make it a shit game? no, cause it offers different things. just like this game, which offers continues story, changing attitudes and look as the game progresses, realistic deaths (less bullets), unique environment, feel of actually being there
