Capcom has opened the official Wii version of Dead Rising site, and I've of course ripped all the screenshots from the flash file.

2006-09-22 15:22:52 Dead Rising gets 35 in famitsu

http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_conte...

Dead Rising scored a 9, 8, 9, 9 from Famitsu, which seems adequate. It was the female reviewer who gave it the 8, if you must know. The reviews can basically be summed up as "Killing zombies is fun" and "The first great game for the Xbox 360".

Project Sylpheed scored 6, 8, 7, 8, which is a tiny bit low for a game released by Square-Enix. Normally, Famitsu reviews don't include a single negative comment unless the score is beneath an 8. In the case of Sylpheed, only the 6 features a negative comment: that you spend more time customizing your ship than you do fighting, sometimes, and you don't get to really fall into a groove of flying and shooting. Sounds almost like an RPG.
Yep slypheed exposed for the crap it is clearly square doesn't even care about the game since it was hardly marketed and then bam surprise its released.

And perhaps the biggest news of them all: Hideo Kojima is announcing a new game. For this one tiny news tidbit alone, Famitsu puts a caricature drawing of Kojima, along with several of his games' characters, on the cover of their magazine this week.

It's great seeing Kojima announce a game. It's probably not a Metal Gear Solid game; it might be something small, for an unexpected console. Something on the DS would be nice. Or maybe something on the Xbox 360?

Hideo Kojima was at the Xbox 360 media briefing yesterday. I saw him with my own two eyes. When the final presentation was finished, and just as the software lineup preview trailer finished showing off Vampire Rain (big noir action-RPG about vampires, by Artoon, on sale in January 2007), Lost Planet, and Gears of War, Kojima hoisted his leather laptop bag onto his shoulder and stealthily dashed to the door, where -- get this -- none other than Dead Rising producer Keiji Inafune, one of the more charismatic supporters of the 360, was waiting for him.

This might, however, not mean anything. Still. Kojima was there, and he saw Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. Some part of me feels it was a pretty good thing that he did. We'll see, at any rate.

Jump in kojima :D Inafune really does love the 360.

Whatever Kojima's game is, it won't be for the XBOX 360.

And regarding the Dead Rising scores, Famitsu can't score a game that got that much money abroad can they? DR is a proven success before it even hit the hands of the Famitsu reviewers. Who are they to counter the profit figures of the game.
