Our Xbox One videos of Cities Skylines

Released two years ago on PC, Cities: Skylines is finally available on Xbox One, a rather well done adaptation with a UI and controls redesigned for the console. It therefore offers an almost identical base game to the PC version as well as the After Dark expansion. Here are videos of the creation of a city and a few impressions.

Our videos of Cities: Skylines

Developed by the small Finnish team of Colossal Order (makers of the Cities in Motion games), Cities: Skylines is a city builder that will be released tomorrow on PC, via Steam. First, here are some videos showing the creation of a new city, the available themes, some citizens commuting in public transports, and the asset editor. You should know that the game is fully opened to modding, also has a map editor, and integrates Steam Workshop.

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I mean they can keep upgrading it but why bother when they have more capable engines already. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I just think it shows its age in a lot of ways in FC5 and they have better tech so they should use it. (3 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth if they still pay royalties to crytech when using it they probably should (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Although I think it's kinda time to retire Dunia. (3 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @HR2: a lot of studios used modified UE3, games like Arkham Knight, XCom2, both being very problematic on pc. Interesting to see what those studios will do for their next games. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @HR2: Ubisoft uses their own engines. They have like.. three solid in house game engines. (3 Hours ago)
  • HR2
HR2 @Melmoth: agreed. speaking of Ubisoft, I wonder which engine they're using for the next Splinter Cell. a heavily modified UE3 like Batman AK or UE4? (4 Hours ago)
