Slender: The Arrival was released on PC a while back but we hadn't had the chance to play it very much until now. This independent horror game is the sequel to the famous Slender: The Eight Pages and it still proposes a very efficient atmosphere, but it unfortunately also suffers from a few performance issues. Because the shadow effects are so demanding and the number of trees (and the shadows they cast) is so important, framerate cannot hold a steady 60 frames per second, even on good hardware like ours. There are even instances where it dropped to 30 fps on our i5 4670K (4.0 GHz, 8Go RAM, GTX 670). Pop-up can also get in the way of what is, despite all this, quite a scary experience overall.
