Darksiders II

Abyssal Forge is the second DLC of Darksiders II and will be out on October 30th for $9.99/800MSP. This new content will add a new gameplay zone and its new visual look, two challenging new dungeons, new enemies and secrets. Two screens inside.

THQ sent us these four Wii U screens of Darksiders II which show how the inventory, the map and skills are managed through the GamePad. The game will be out on November 18th and will contain both additional quests that are Argul's Tomb and Death Rides.

Darksiders II is about to welcome its first DLC next week. On September 25, Argul's Tomb will be available on Xbox 360 and PC while PS3 owners will have to wait until the next day. Let us remind you that this new content is completely free if you have purchased the Limited Edition or the Premium Edition. For the others, it will cost you 560 Microsoft Points or 5.49€, which, considering it includes a whole new area, two new dungeons, new enemies and exclusive legendary items, is not that much to pay.

That's it, the summer break is now over, and though we managed to bring quite a lot of content in the past two months, you should of course expect a lot more in September. Our small team is as motivated as ever, so you should see a good number of videos of highly-anticipated games such as Borderlands 2 or Fifa 13 or PES 2013, but we'll also cover more modest titles, like Of Orcs and Men, whose graphics seem rather impressive to us considering it's not a AAA game, or The testament of Sherlock Holmes, which could appeal to adventure enthusiasts. If I can find some time to translate both articles, we'll also have a full hands-on preview of Harold, Moon Spider's very first game, as well as the interview of Loris Malek, the studio's president. Lots of stuff as I was saying, to thank you for your support and confidence.

It may sound absurd, but Darksiders II hasn't been officially released in France yet. Since the game is released on August 21 here and it's past midnight, we are now authorized to show you a good number of videos from the Xbox 360 version and the PC version (these being in 1080p and 60 fps). Even though the technical aspect of the game is far from being perfect, it still is a great title you should definitely experience if you liked the first episode. But enough talking, check out our eight gameplay videos.

Considering how great the first game was, needless to say we are really looking forward to playing Darksiders II. THQ sent us a new video presenting the Arena mode we were talking about a few days ago.

THQ and Vigil Games announce the Arena mode for Darksiders II. Entitled The Crucible, this mode will allow you to confront and survive 100 waves of enemies with your created character. Each 5 waves the player is offered to leave with an item (value being progressive) or to continue, risking to lose everything. Another way to continue to improve your character is the New Game + that will be there too.
