Metro: Last Light

After our PC videos a few days ago, time has come to discover the 360 version of Metro: Last Light. As you can see, 4A Games' title looks very good on 2005 hardware and even tough some effects have been toned down, it is as atmospheric as ever. As you know, we have particularly enjoyed this sequel to Metro 2033 and we hope to see a new installment in the franchise in the near future. The Ukranian developers have proven they can achieve some impressive results in difficult working conditions, can you imagine what they'd be capable of if they were given as much as some other AAA studios?

Back when the first Metro game was released, a lot of people complained about its clunky controls and its linear structure but as for me, I was mesmerized by its atmosphere and except for one frustrating and crazy sequence towards the end, I had a total blast with it. Needless to say I was really excited to receive my review copy of the PC version of Metro: Last Light last week. Deep Silver gives a first survival guide for Metro: Last Light since being a ranger in the tunnels of the Metro and the wasteland won't be an easy task. This first chapter shows various environnments, two more videos are planned. The game is coming in mid-May.

Set to release in May, it's time for Metro: Last Light to come back up to the surface. The Salvation trailer focuses on the game's story and its last remnants.

The first game was very atmospheric and the sequel should follow its footsteps. Here are a bunch of new images of Metro: Last Light to prove it. The game should be released in March 2013 so we'll know soon enough.
