So thats why the screens dont look that great.
CD Projekt RED has provided the screenshots you see here from its current in-game assets running on its Internal PC development hardware. However, the renderer - the part of the engine that translates the game files into what you ultimately see on screen - is still in development and will boast significant improvements by the time The Witcher 3 ships. "Right now you see the game in the old renderer, but it's going to be taken to a truly next level," says gameplay producer Marek ZSiemak. In particular, the developers tell us that skin shaders and the dynamic lighting model will be markedly more advanced in the final version.

The trailer from yesterday has pumped me up for this (thanks in a large part to the music, I have to say). I am currently playing the second game on PC and I plan to get this sequel on PC when it comes out.... CAN NOT WAIT!

The one thing that kinda bugs me with this; they aged the shit out of Geralt, but Triss still looks the same? Wut? :P

Geralt isnt very old said the devs in a video interview i saw.
He looks "older" because of his "default" white hair and now he has a beard now, or else he isnt as old as you think.

He sure looks quite a bit older, much more worn and wrinkled. I mean this game looks a bit less stylized than 2, specially with the characters, but still. I mean, it looks good and i don't know how much time is supposed to have passed between the end of Witcher 2 and Geralt traveling to Nilfgaard, it's just something i noticed.

Yeah he looks older obviously, but I not THAT as you expressed it "aged the shit out of him" lol.
But i do agree who Triss hasent aged at all.

But all in all, i prefer this artstyle.

By the way as I see a lot of people talking about how slow and clunky Witcher 2 combat was on the trailer in the main page. You should try to play the game with this combat mod.

It was made by one of the CD Projekt Red dev. It reduce input lag and increased responsiveness. It makes combat much more better and enjoyable

Yes! Real goddamn inventory management! No more of the bullcrap menus from Witcher 2! *does a little dance*

Also it looks really nice, really looking forward to playing this.

That's what has been bugging me about Geralt's armour! Aside from the fact that it is very plain, it's also too clean.

Just noticed something i hadn't thought about before in that last video. Notice how the UI tracks how many swallow potions Geralt has? Can you drink potions mid combat now?

You can drink them and have them on queue and when in the middle of a encounter trigger the effect or not if you want.

Potions refill when meditating, great stuff.

That was the only component of the first game that had any depth.

I still need to get into TW2 and try some of that mod rayy posted.

I found the way TW2 handled that a little cumbersome, I ended up wasting lots of potions because of some encounters or wasnt necessary or were to easy, and when I needed them I didnt had them, with this new system you don't have to worry about that nor to have hundreds of potions waiting for teh really hard encounter that might never come, etc.

We don'tr know yet maybe in practice it will all make sense.
