Blimblim, tyran.
After Project Cars 2 the next disaster - the player always drives like a maniac, crashes into the opponents and misses every apex of any corner, or cut the racing-line ...
and then you criticise in your articles the AI for being bad and running into you - but in fact its the other way round!
AI in PCARS 2 just ignore the player, it even ignore other AI, watch the Nurburgring FPS analysis, it pushes cars like if they do not exist, it pushes until it gets free, if it could "see" the other cars it would have avoided it or reverse a bit and then avoid it.
And as said in the article's text, Blim is not a sim racer, he tried to do his best in less than 30 minutes in the game to capture the more footage he could.
When I capture games at E3 or GC I do mistakes I don't do when I play at home because of the rush and the "one shot" we have to capture, we can't stay there during hours to master the game and restart again and again.

Due to the fact that the player is able to set up EVERYTHING arbitrarily in a single race (there are really no restrictions), its possible to combine any car series with any route! - and so its no wonder that strange moments may occour, if you want to look for it and set up silly settings.
If you reduce the number of vehicles on this track to 20 (how the number of cars is supposed to be (like in the career) there is no problems at all.
The combination jeeps (Ford F150) on go kart tracks also makes little sense (the cars have hardly any space) - but you can set it up.
Or if you drive with the Formula 1 car only with slicks on an ice track - it will probably not work properly.
So my advice - you should just use the options meaningful, or play the career mode (where most of the settings are preset).
And I prefer the complete freedom of combination (where strange things can happen, if you don't do it smart) to artificial limitations of developers.
"For starters, they should have made it impossible to push the number of drivers to 30 something on that track. It happens a lot less with just 20, though it still can occur."

You didn't have any problem with my driving two years ago when I covered the first game, because at the time I had chosen to give them a pass. The fact that the problem is still there, that they haven't even tought of limiting the number of cars on certain tracks is the reason we have shown it. Now like I said, I've explained it depends on the circumstances, but if I had wanted to bash the game (that was not the point of the video), I would have shown all the other tracks and situations in which it had happened to me. Not because I was looking for trouble, but because i was just testing the possibilities they had given the player.
I was excited at the prospect of playing PCARS 2 all week-end, I mean I backed the project (£100 even), but my experience wasn't good overall, because of the bugs I mentioned and the AI. Was I unlucky? Well maybe, but the videos I posted still represent my experience in all honesty, some of which was also normal (but no one seems to care about the other videos). Fans and SMS were happy when I was showing PCARS 1 and 2 in their best light, they need to accept the fact that some of the problems can also be shown. Read all my impressions for god's sake, I didn't spend my whole week-end on the game to then be atatcked on my driving skills and my objectivity.

Making high end video content like Gamersyde does, isn't easy.
To all people complaining about Driftwood's disappointment with the game, look at both the + and - sections, he never said the game isn't good, only that it has many issues that were already present in the first game and that were never fixed, and that this was disappointing, since he expected better from the developers - and I would too.
I know a lot of people want to defend to death the franchises they like or bash other people's franchises - maybe because they're popular or are associated with a specific group/console manufacturer, but think for a second, do you really want to give developers a pass when they don't even fix bad design choices and bugs in a sequel that were already present in a previous game many years before?
Think very carefully, because if you say "Yes", you don't get to complain about Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Sports games, etc being mostly the same. Sequels should be held to a higher standard and it isn't unrealistic to expect a sequel to have corrected many of the issues of a prequel and be much better - not just a little bit better, or even worse. And when that fails to happen, it's perfectly fine to be disappointed with it.
There's so many goddamn disappointing game sequels that come to mind for me: Resident Evil 6, Dead Space 3, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Assassin's Creed: Unity, Batman: Arkham Knight, Crackdown 2, Ninja Gaiden 3, Crysis 2, BioShock 2, and the list goes on and on. And those are all beloved franchises for millions of people.
Should we suddenly give a pass on those games because the previous entries in the franchise were much better? Or should we judge them on their own merits? I choose the latter, since each of those games was released and charged full retail price, and they deserve to be criticized on what they did right and wrong.
I haven't played Project Cars 2, but to be honest if the developers still didn't change and fix many of the issues from the first game, they do not deserve a pass and should be called on it, that's the only way they will listen and hopefully will fix it in upcoming updates or for the next game.
You may choose to be blind to it, but to everyone else who relies on reviewers' honest opinions, it would be dishonest to say otherwise. And if you give them a pass on it, it just increases the chances of they never fixing these things in later games.
As for criticizing someone's gameplay abilities, since when does that justify a game's bad design choices and bugs?! Are you retarded - sorry, mentally challenged - or what? Does me playing Resident Evil 6 very well suddenly makes the game good? Or if I play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild very badly, does the game suddenly becomes bad? He could be hitting the wall every 30 seconds and it still wouldn't excuse a bad AI or bug if it happened in spite of the player's presence and/or actions.
If you disagree with Driftwood's opinion - that's what a review is, that's just that, a disagreement. Agree to disagree and move on. The game won't sell any less or more because of just a single review. Grow up! - Or don't. It's your choice whether you become wise or keep acting like an idiot.
Forza 7 looks really solid in 4k 60 fps. i think i'll probably wait though for the next Horizon game. The Horizon series has a lot of flair and action. it more than satisfies my racing needs.
Turn10 Makes great strides for game engine quality for both Xbox and pc. anyone looking for a solid racing game on pc, Forza is the series. forza 7 is much more stable than project cars.
Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!
No other racing game has lighting like GT5/sport/Driveclub.
Other games do look flat, Forza,PC,Dirt.
Also, now you can change some settings and tune your car during the loadings, and even change you car while it's loading it seems (I saw the option on several videos).
