The fact that it's not shocking shows you how far this game has fallen. For shame.

The PC version will still sell well too, but I look forward to seeing what kind of longevity it will have. Ideally it would be sweet if COD4 out performs its xfire numbers, but that's probably a bit of a stretch.

I don't dig the music either. It looks epic, but seems to be console footage and has very bad picture quality. I guess on PC when you'll be able to up resolution, textures and shadows etc. it might look really good.

Does it really matter? The Dragon Age: Origins trailers had Marilyn Manson in it for fuck's sake - and that has still turned out to be a cracking game, based on the majority of the reviews.

as far as an otherwise awesome trailer goes, yes it does. there's such a thing as fitting music, and this certainly wasnt it. it's be like ending lord of the rings on a slipknot track, sure i like slipknot, but in LOTR's? get the fuck out.

An Eminem song for a MW2 trailer isn't entirely unfitting; it just caters to a certain audience. Using the example of Slipknot in a LOTR film is pointless because: a) it's so obscure and b) you're applying it to a finished product, not a trailer.

I know HMV in the uk are getting huge orders for the £120 NVG edition, my friend who works there told me theyre gettin extra shipments, but people come in all the time asking for that edition.

Got the game on Friday. I think it's outstanding, better than CoD4 in every way (the storytelling is still bad though). Special Ops has become my new flavour of the month, I'm surprised by the diversity of the missions, and you really WANT to play this coop. In essence I feel like I've got 3 completely different experiences in just one game.

The MP is much better than I expected, the perks are very well balanced, for a change, and every combination has its purpose. What I absolutely don't like is the permanent camping, but I guess this's a death match exclusive feature, anyway it drives me nuts, especially if your own team are a bunch of tossers who camp them self and fail to rack up enough kills for a simple UAV. Lag drives me nuts sometimes, the sheer luck of my opponents does as well. :)

Well when your mates don't want to play anything other it's a problem. I hope I can get them to play some CTF (which was surprisingly fun in WaW, by contrast to the rest of the game).

Anyway, just finished the SP. It's a very good roller-coaster ride. But I think I read something about Infinity ward not making another CoD for a few years (must have been an interview)? Seems like an MW 3 is inevitable, but it's hard to say how they are going to top what I just played. If they get the storytelling right next time it could be nothing short of being an epic conclusion to maybe the best FPS series ever made (Halo failed there). Mind = blown.

LOTR is as far from obscure as something can be, and I think enough people know who Slipknot are to warrant them not being labelled obscure.
